Well, I don't know about that but I guess it's possible.

I wonder how many people were taught phone etiquette. I remember learning it in elementary school. Over the years I've noticed it lacking in certain people. When my kids started getting calls and I answered the phone I'd hear...

Yo dog, is ____ there?
Me: Sorry dog doesn't answer the phone.
Is s/he there or not?
Me: Who's calling? (I wait for an answer) No s/he isn't.
Them *click* <--- When they rudely hang up like that I block their number.

My step-daughters SO had the worst phone manners of any adult I've ever encountered. I told him if he couldn't be bothered to use phone etiquette then he'd better not call and expect me to answer.

:yeahthat: Back when you had to crank the phones first people had better manners.

I'm merely trying to give the person the benefit of the doubt and showing that another side exists...everyone else is just telling the guy to write her off, when maybe she's very much interested and just doesn't realize what she's doing, or is a little rude but is willing to fix that mistake.

I was never taught phone etiquette in school. I just picked up it. I screw up some stuff here and there. I will NEVER forget when I asked my friend's father if my friend was home...he said "yes, anything else?" and I was too stunned so I said no and he hung up on me! I think I was 13 when that happened. From then on, "Hi, can I speak with XXXXXX please?" became normal for me :lmao:

Don't even get me started
Just to scratch the surface, it irks me so much when GF hangs up the phone before saying "bye" to the other person, in some form. She'll just finish a sentence and then :click: I am like...wth  (I questioned her about it after numerous observations and she didn't even realize it was rude )

And then I would have to respond with, I don't know, can you?

There are a very select group of people that I will allow to call me "dog" on the phone. Strangers who are asking to speak with members of my family (particuarly my children) fall outside of this group.

Although - the people that fall inside that group are more apt to call me #####, pig####er or ####-smoker when I answer the phone rather than "dog".

I would've done it to her a few times and watched what happened.

I'm usually a fan of showing people exactly how something feels, but I can't bring myself to use poor phone-etiquette  I don't even like hanging up on people, even when it's necessary. I'd rather hold the phone away from my ear and just let them talk :lmao:

Oh, and for the record, she doesn't do that to me  I get an "I love you" or something similar, unless it's a "click" because I said something being a smart ass :lmao:

I wouldn't doubt it. If she did, she didn't mean it  :lmao: She did it to the lady we got the guinea pig from and I was like... Did you even say bye? She didn't even realize it was wrong until I pointed it out...I then thought about the numerous times I've seen her do that :lmao:

A legend in your own mind. :dye:

I heard breakfast was good. I probably would have eaten nil, but I would have loved seeing you guys...IF I knew you were going to be there (no texting)

I didn't see you yesterday at "Breaktfast with Santa", but I did saw Dutch and his son.

The redhead with Dutch and Z was mine. They were starving and couldn't wait for me to get myself together, so I told them to "GIT". :wench:

I saw the redhead kid with them and I thought he might be yours' son, but I wasn't too sure. Cute kid! :yay:

Z looked tired. He kept putting his head down on the table after eating breakfast.

You go out on a date with someone to a nice restaurant to eat, then out for a few drinks.
But from the time this person got into the car, until the time to go home, they were constantly either talking on the cell or texting.

What do you say to someone like this and when do say it?

And at the end of the night this person also says they had a good time and wants to do it again.:faint:

Yahoo had a whole section on dating last week and that was one of the things they said was a NO NO. If she is to busy texting talkin she is not really into you.

I always leave my phone in the truck during a date now.
