What do you say to someone like this and when do say it?
I'm guessing you're fishing for exactly WHICH tactful way to tell them to go eff themselves, since that IS the only appropriate response.
What do you say to someone like this and when do say it?
You go out on a date with someone to a nice restaurant to eat, then out for a few drinks.
But from the time this person got into the car, until the time to go home, they were constantly either talking on the cell or texting.
What do you say to someone like this and when do say it?
And at the end of the night this person also says they had a good time and wants to do it again.
OMFG! I was thinking the same thing!!
You don't say anything. You chalk it up to a crappy date and don't call them again!!! Don't waste your time trying to change people...it's not worth the trouble. If they don't have sense enough to get off of the f-ing phone, then they aren't worth your time.
If she says "I had a really good time, let's do it again." Simply say " Really? You couldn't prove that by me. I don't think so!!!" and just
It's not about trying to change them. It's about whacking them upside the head with the Stick of Enlightenment.
Well, I'd have to like them a lot to even carry a stick and if I have to carry a stick...it's probably not worth my time. They should know better than to be on the phone while on a date. Unless it's God, or someone is dying, don't be on the phone talking or texting.
Ocassionally, it's effective and as a pragmatist, I see your point. However, it's still a lot of fun; to each their own I guess.
Well, if a person likes someone a lot, perhaps it can be effective. Sometimes it just downright tiring and when you just plain about giving them the ole , it's time to move on!!! Plus, it's just disrespectful to you. Would this be the type of person you would want in your life?
