At this point I'm just looking for company. All the friends I had have since moved away for school or jobs, and when I have free time I don't really have much to do in the area without feeling awkward that I'm doing it alone... which is why I was asking where good hangouts are.
But, I like women with a sense of humor. Someone who likes to go out occasionally and doesn't always want to stay at home. Smart and sexy, but can be goofy and wild sometimes. Someone who's not afraid to be themselves and who likes the things I like and just likes to have a good time.
I guess that's a good summary.
and like I said, not specifically for dating... just someone to hang out with. Make new friends.

So did I. I know how you feel. But I'm up for meeting new people if you evver just wanted company. I made the mistake of making my ex my best friend too... so now that we don't see each other anymore, I don't really have anyone to hang with... hence the reason I made this thread in the first place. Sounds lame, I know... but it was just like that movie I Love You Man.

Hah. Besides this girlfriend, I've been doing that for five years. I want a little bit of life to go with my being alive now.
Plus, why would it have to be a date to ask or go out with someone? Could always just get out and meet someone new.
