Dear Abby: My wife used to.....

But her secret is NOT secret... it is available for public consumption. I truly believe that makes a huge difference.

To you. To me.

Let's say for the sake of argument, this was you. Is the relationship with hubby not strong enough to make this a trivial thing you did as a kid? This people are young which means this happened in the modern computer age where the shear volume of porn is incomprehensible.

I mean, here we go with OUR view. She HAD to know it would be seen. Well, at face value, she hoped it wouldn't. I can see that being a possibility because of the enormous volume of porn. We're not talking dozens or even 100's of recognizable stars. We're talking 1,000's and 1,000's of people who do or have done porn for dough. Dime a dozen is more like penny a 1,000.

Yeah, yeah, and I should go back to my romance novels and battery operated boyfriend. :bigwhoop: Pardon me if I take you all's relationship advice with a grain of salt....

I think "I was a porn star and made 10 or 20 movies" is an important piece of information with regard to one's significant other. Honesty is important to me. Your mileage may vary.

"10 or 20" = 400 over the course of eight months :yay:

I always felt that way about love line callers. FAKE

Please don't tell me that Penthouse Forums stories aren't real and that the cable guy didn't really get banged by the hot horny housewife. :frown:

Regardless, it's dismaying that so many people are completely okay with dishonesty and non-disclosure in relationships.

OK, who are we kidding..

10 or 20 movies, and the husband didn't recognize her on the first date??

That's not much of a "star" if you ask me..

Maybe a Porn Extra.. or Porn Cast Member.. but Star?? I think knot...

I think most people agree. So, do we take this at face value or not? They had a great relationship and he trusts her completely or not? He doesn't mention what he hasn't told her. He thinks it's worth NOT telling. So, he's already a person that has things he tells no one, that has decided there are things the spouse doesn't get to be aware of. Hell, doesn't that make them a better, not worse, match?

The quote;

between 10 and 20 porn videos when she was 19

No claim of 'star'. Not even a claim of 'for money'. This could all be private, personal vids.

Show of hands; who here has not made at least a little naughty video in their life?

Clearly they don't have a great relationship and he doesn't trust her, otherwise this wouldn't be a problem and he wouldn't be writing to Dear Abby. One does not write to Abby when things are peachy.

What he means to say (because I speak Guy and can translate) is that they have a great relationship and he trusts her EXCEPT for in this one particular area. Because otherwise he wouldn't be writing for advice.

That's not what is being said. So far, everyone seems to prefer to have been told, honesty. However, at face value, that didn't happen in Dear Abbey and the guy says it's a great relationship and he trusts her completely.

Throw it all away over what she did as a kid? 10-20 vids? Not even as a pro? Perhaps stuff she did with Dan Backslide and his frat buddies one wild summer? There is no claim that this was professional. That leaves a lot of room for something you really regret AND hoped that would never leave Dans personal collection or, if it did, would not be seen by very many outside his pals.
