I know of more than one accident in the snow where someone wrecked, and they still had their vehicle in two wheel drive. And you want to see squirrely.. drive a RWD Suburban in the SNOW!!

Either they didn't know they had to switch to 4WD or they didn't know how..

And they don't know how to use 4x4 properly anyway. The worst thing you can do is hit the brakes. If you want to slow down, let the motor and tranny assist you. Drop a gear rather than use the brakes. And this assumes you are driving within and not above driving conditions for the road.

I usually let the tranny take over.
