Thank god you're here to tell us all about raising children! I don't know what we'd do without your expert analysis. :yay:

####ing idiot.

I do what I can. :huggy:

I just want you folks to seriously look at the situation and if you can say that your parents honestly didn't sacrifice at all for you, I feel sorry for each person that thinks that.

Oh....so now your saying that ALL parents sacrifice for their kids??....Seems earlier you said that the only ones that sacrificed were the ones that had a handicapped child

So which is it??....Do all parents sacrifice for their kids or just those with a handicapped child

I said every parent sacrifices, parents with disabled kids sacrifice more.

Are you starting to get it? I mean, I want to give you folks some credit but you pretty much reassure me that it isn't deserved

EDIT:
You're right, I don't understand what it's like "to sacrifice 'more'"....please explain to me how you, who has never had a child and in most peoples eyes STILL a child yourself, do this

See?
You even responded to it

Oh...my apologizes....you must not understand sarcasm either

It is you that doesn't deserve the credit...because you don't know what sacrifice is....you don't know what it's like to sacrifice sleep because you child is up all night with a fever....you don't know what it's like to sacrifice taking a day off work because you have a child home sick

The list goes on and on....but, you wouldn't know this unless you have a child....WHICH YOU DON'T and I hope you never do!

R.I.P. Bobo, We miss you!
A while ago there was a thread on abortion, about how far along was too late. Well what if you found out that your baby would be forever handicapped? Would you go forward with the abortion or have the child? And again, whats the furthest in the pregnancy you would have the procedure? I'm just trying to get different peoples views.

Are you in this situation or just interested? Bottom line is until you find yourself in this situation, you don't know what you will do.

This is why I never had that test done. The test can be right and the test can be wrong. So you abort a baby you think will have something wrong with it, but who really knows. Or the tests come back normal and you give birth to a baby with problems, then what?

Or get the test done so if there is a problem, everyone is there and ready to deal with it. Not to mention, giving birth in the hospital that can deal with the problems. I'd rather be prepared and hopefully ahead of the situation.

So is it too late??? Is everything ok? Sorry just curious.

Well she ended up having the abortion at 14 weeks, she had it done by doctors who deal with this type of issue, not just some random clinic. At first I thought it was just some random abortion place, but i found out it wasn't the case. Further testing on the fetus revealed that if she hadn't aborted he would have only lived till about 3 or 4 years old. It is so sad and I can't imagine her pain all I can do is offer my shoulder to cry on

I watched a show of Discovery Health last night. This woman was 23 weeks pregnant. They gave her fetus less than a 10% chance of survival. She found a doctor through her own investigating that was willing to take a chance to save the baby. The baby was born and is now a thriving healthy 6 month old.

I'm sorry for your friend's loss.

The doctors tried saying the same thing to me about my son. After he was flown out a nurse told me children with these types of conditions usually dont make it past 6 months. My son is now 10 1/2 years old! Im too stubborn to listen to some things and wanted whatever time I had with him. Sorry about your friend.
