After oblittering a deer and the front end of my truck last October, this October I bought these little deer whistle/siren things you put on your fender. You can't hear them but supposedly the deer do and are supposed to stay away.I was told by a friend that they work well and I bought some and personaly hadn't had any problems all month.
This morning I had not one but two deer jump out in front of me and two more that remained on the side of the road watching me drive past completely unphased by the deer siren/whistle thing. So now I'm feeling kind of silly and thinking -- well... is this like the emperor's new robe scenario or something... believing that because I can't hear it wtf really makes me believe a deer can hear these
Could I just have them on backwards?There were no diagrams or anything on the package - in hindsight maybe I should have adhered one in each direction
Anyone have any luck with these? Do they cause more harm by building a false sense of security (like I had for the past few weeks) then good? Do they work?
