Democrat Debate

I missed the debate, but knowing the kind of questions they ask I could understand not sticking to a yes or no answer. Unless they lobbed some softballs.

Here's an example:

"Bann, have you shared with your parents the full extent of your drug abuse issues?"

Remember, yes or no answer only. Or do you think the question is unfair and you need to explain why?

Cooper actually did a really good job with questions that didn't sound like they were coming from mean girls at the junior high lunch table. He made Tapper look like a fool.

Senator Sanders scares me.

Secretary Clinton's running on "I'm a woman".

Governor O'Malley looked presidential.

Senator Webb should go ahead and drop out now.

Who was that other clown?

They sure didn't spend any time talking about veterans, that's for sure.

Sanders was having a downright love fest for Clinton, however, SHE sucked up to Obama more times than I could count. I'm trying to decide which one had the worse performance of all - it's a tie for me between Webb and O'Malley. Webb came off as a weasely has been and O'Malley didn't look ready for prime time.

CNN only asked about things important to the far left. Wasn't a fan of that. Fox News and MSNBC should have all the debates. CNN's sucked at both so far.

I have security clearance and work with classified information. If I had a Nickel for each time someone inadvertently released info or when there is some leakage (used unclassified equipment for classed work).

But of course when one party wants to attack another, we will make a BIG deal out of a few emails...... (esp to attack a candidate from a party that we don't like)....

Honestly, within the history of IT and the US gov, how many times do you think this happens? Also what percentage of it is caught? What percentage gets swept under the rug?

How about this.... lets talk about the real issues that are facing this country, issues that are affecting every man, woman and child v.s. about some god damn emails....

Also, you can't talk about one without talking about the other....

Yes, spills happen. Unauthorized access, inadequate storage, and accidental transmittals. The common thread is typically that the act was not deliberate, and the common response is re-training.

If however, you think you could get away with intentionally setting up an unauthorized, unmonitored, and unsecure communications channel to use for official business that you KNOW may occasionally carry classified information.....you may need to come visit me in 2109 and we can talk about the status of your security clearance.

If she said, "I agree with the president that this is a valid question, and I made a huge mistake. I apologize to the country for my blunder, and I will work in private with Congress to go over the results of the spill of classified information I have caused by my mistake. As the president has said, looking into this is not a partisan issue, but a valid issue, and I rescind all my claims of partisan attacks. I will fully cooperate to fix the consequences."

THAT would end all discussion on the issue. EVERYONE ####s up at some point or another. NO ONE will fault her for making a mistake (albeit HUGE). Take actual responsibility without turning around and dismissing her responsibility by claiming partisan attack, and the issue is done and over and forgotten.

Now THAT would have been a great response to all this, and you're absolutely right - case closed and let's move on.

These people are just so out of touch. I wonder why it doesn't occur to them to take responsibility for their screw ups, which is endearing and allows forgiveness, and instead they just dig their hole to China. And it's all of them, Dems and GOP alike.

You guys are conservatives. So, you'll like Webb.

Chaffee actually did a pretty good job, in my opinion, as well. The problem with Webb wasn't what he said, but that he looked scared to be in front of a crowd saying it. The problem with Chaffee (in general) wasn't what he said, but that he looked like a dork saying it. The problem with O'Malley was what he said, but he looked cool and smooth saying it.

The problems with Sanders and Clinton are actually too numerous to fit into a post.

But how he would solve these issues IS the principal of it.

Yes, it is. Which is why I said he bothers me.

People are coming out to see him in droves. They love his rhetoric, but like most voting Americans, they don't care about how it gets done, unfortunately.

No, we are Marylanders, so we don't like Owe'Malley.

I'm a fiscal conservative, yes.

I liked Webb because he understands the concept of a national DEFENSE and pointed out that many of the gun control advocates inside the beltway employ armed guards to protect them. That's about it though.

O'Malley kept avoiding his mess in Baltimore, while claiming we'd have a power grid clean enough to eat off of by 2050, and repeating "glass-steagall".

I thought Hillary looked good last night; she did well and her team should be pleased with her showing.

Sanders looks good to hard lefties who don't really understand the perils and economic disaster that is Socialism. The rest of us think he's a nut.

O'Malley needs to stop talking and whip out his guitar, go for the easy approval. "Climate change" only plays with a certain segment of society. Intelligent people understand that the "climate" is constantly changing and mortal man will never be able to stop that.

Chaffee and Webb....go home and stop wasting everyone's time.

Glass-Steagall was a direct shot at Hillary Clinton. It was her husband that signed the repeal of Glass-Steagall into law. That's going to play with the base.

Going after Hillary over her and her husband's involvement in the economic collapse as well as her support for the war in Iraq is a winning strategy.

Senator Webb is a Conservative Republican on the Democratic stage. He's running for the wrong party's nomination.

I think O'Malley did the best job among the center left and Sanders on the far left.

Clinton did good too. I just don't like her.

I've always liked Webb...going back more than 30 years. His 1978 book "Fields of Fire" really struck me.

I literally despise the greasy slimeball O'Malley....almost as much as I despise Hillary, but for different reasons.

Sanders is a hoot to watch and listen to...seems quite sincere, and harmless too as long as he's never elected President.

If all four showed up to apply for most any job Webb, obviously, would win it, hands down. However, we're talking about a job where party and appearance is more important. It's sad but it is how we, the people think.
