My last one, too. It was so impacted they had to break it and dig it out from around my jaw. That's the only one I had trouble with.

Starcat, I was awake for the whole thing and numb. It didn't hurt. To avoid a dry socket, do EXACTLY as the dentist tells you. However, you could still get one. It's not nightmare pain, but it's pretty uncomfortable.

All four of mine came out at the same time, all of them in pieces. I got dry socket on the bottom ones and didn't know for abut 5 days. I thought it was supposed to hurt that bad.

I know sometimes the complications can be a real biatch... but starcat don't worry it usually goes smoothly and complications are usually solved within a couple of months.

I just wanted to let you all know, you didnt scare me off lol I got company, and thats where I have been, since not replying. Thanks for all the information, hopefully I will be able to sit down with D tonight and try to figure out what to do. I usually procrastinate when it comes to stuff like this, but it does make more sense to deal with it now, than to let it get terrible, although, once it gets terrible, I will be forced into it, and thats usually how it works for me lol. Now all I need is a hand holder and I will be set lol

I wouldn't wait to long to get it taken care of - it could be worse if you put it off.

If your tooth is scratching your mouth, pick up some dental wax (for braces) until you get it taken care of. You can find in the same section with the toothpaste and floss. That should help.
What exactly is dental wax and what do I do with it once I get it?
