I don't see the fascination with Chopotle.

How old are you? Pretty much everyone I know 30 or younger worships the place. They hit on something that age group LOVES. One of my daughters doesn't ask me to lunch. She asks me to Chipotle.
I like it but, never blew my socks off.

:eyebrow: I'm in my 20s and I'm not obsessed with it...
I like it but if I never ate it again, I'd live.

I think it's the whole made-to-order style that appeals to the younger generation. Think of it as our own version of a Mexican Subway. Subway used to be huge and you were always bombarded with their commercials with Jared, etc. Chipotle is quirky and appeals to the hipsters for various reasons from their urban decor, environmentally friendly packaging, their "super fresh" ingredients (they go on and on about their organic/naturally raised pork/steak/chicken, farm-to-table vegetables, zero trans fat, etc.) It appeals to them even if they don't realize how trendy it is. "Natural" and "Organic" is what everyone is obsessed about right now.

The younger generation might have their iPhones glued to their eyeballs but they are starting to notice these things and are getting further away from places like McDonalds. These kids will probably just shrug and say "I like it" but it's been a whole movement to get away from the greasy fast food and right now, Chipotle seems to be their most immediate way of jumping on that wagon.

Granted that giant burrito they stuff for you ain't helping much, but I appreciate their mission and I definitely appreciate their kids tacos or burrito bowl (little to no rice) when I'm out and about and need something fast, filling, and not Burger King.

I like chipotle, but it is too loud to eat there. The sofritas is so good. We are going to try to replicate it this week

I like the burrito bowls, but their burrito is to large in diameter to eat properly. It's like gnawing on a softball.

I've seen people ask for a burrito but get the tortilla wrapped up on the side...then you can go sit somewhere and fill your burrito yourself the way you prefer and save the rest for leftovers the next day  They do give you a lot of food. That's why I always just get the bowl or the kids tacos if I'm not very hungry. Only two, as opposed to the regular 3. And they never ask for my ID

I always get the burrito bowl to go. I love it. It's exactly the way I ask them to fix it and it's 2 meals for me. I don't care that their stuff is organic, non-antibiotic, non-GMO, no MSG, no lactose or no gluten or whatever else is stylish to be allergic to this month. I like it because it taste good, it's freshly made. Their guac is nice and chunky, and it's quick to pick up on my way to work, even when there's a line.

Maybe I like it so much because I'm definitely at the very least TWO 20 year olds. So I like it twice as much.

Awake! Tonight was Nick's New York Strips (on sale or don't buy), wild rice, and grilled asparagus. Dessert was homemade butter pecan ice cream with caramel sauce.

I was probably the last person to buy a microwave back in the day, but ice cream machines are the bomb!

Delmonico steaks cooked on the grill, baked (in the oven, not microwave) potatoes, steamed broccori. :yum:

Grilled BQ chicken wings, green beans seasoned with ham, and cheese cornbread. No dessert; we try to eat that sparingly.

What is broccori? I looked it up but I could only find Broccoli Rabe, Broccoli, or. Broccolini. I always want to try new things. Thanks!

:ohwell: If I have to explain, it would probably lose something in the translation.
