Dinner

God bless the USA
That is hard to beat. Especially this time of year when we are able to finally enjoy some warm temps.

Tonight was chicken wings and ribs on the grill. We use the grill 5 times out of 7 a week and keep a back up tank for emergencies. It is kind of a prepper thing, too. LOL!

Good call on the prepper thing. HA. I grill year round as well but it is nice to sit outside and eat dinner.

I smoked a pork butt for BBQ sammies. Also made some lima beans, corn on the cob, coleslaw, tater salad, & corn bread. It was fantastic :yum:

Gonna be pork chops tonite. Not sure if I'm going to grill them or stuff them with spinach, sun dried tomatoes, feta and bake them.

I am so very blessed
I am going to walk out to my garden and pick some fresh asparagus, then dig up a few horseradish roots to grate. This will go perfectly with my perfectly grilled steak.

Inspire me people. I have to go grocery shopping and have nothing...what should I make tonight>

Honestly, the spinach, feta and sundried tomato concoction can be used with just about anything, chicken, fish, pork. I have tried it with all 3 and its delicious. Also, have you tried pork chops with Dijon mustard glaze? Delicious.

I'm making a veggie hot pot tonight...which basically means I'm throwing noodles in a broth bowl and chopping up veggies and layering it on top with a chopped boiled egg and pickles I've marinated in sirrachi.

Speaking of sirrachi, have you tried the Sirrachi French fries sold at the grocery store???

I served them with my burgers I grilled last weekend !!

When my son was younger, he used to call that upside down day. We still do it 2- 3 times a month now and he is graduating college this month.

Had eggs, bacon, hash browns and honey butter biscuits. My husband now like poached eggs, I made them once last month and he's hooked.

Went to Popeyes. When I was in VA not too long ago, I got their $5 box deal. It was $5, had 2 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, a drink and a cookie. The $5 box deal here is $6. For $5 you don't get a drink, that's the extra $1. And no cookie either way. Damn inflation. :ohwell:

It's still a better deal than the 2 piece dinner, which is exactly the same thing but costs $8.99.

Foxhound grilled hot Italian sausages and we had those with steamed fresh green beans, and sauteed (leftover) whole grain brown rice in a bit of olive oil with some garlic, chopped onion, red bell pepper & chopped carrots. Really quick & yummy!
