Disappointing service with the vet

I've been taking my animals to St. Mary's vet for years. The doctors there have been wonderful. My old shih tzu was sick for over a year with a heart condition, thyroid problem and kidney problems. They were great. I told them I would continue to treat him with all the medications until he began to suffer. The doctors agreed with my plan. The doctor told me when the time came, he would go down hill quickly, and that is exactly how it happened, but it happened to be on Labor Day. Vets office closed. Every vet in the county closed. I ended up having to take him to the emergency vet in Waldorf. I was very disappointed that my vet wasn't there for me when I needed him the most, but it was a holiday and I understood. I called the next day to tell them, and the vet relayed his condolences. I will continue to take them there, because the staff is great!

Finally, a normal person among jacka$$es. I hope you don't get red karma for talking nice about your vet.

As if she was the only one who said something nice about her vet.

And if I spelled that word correctly, it would be blocked. :dork:

What is the ridiculous meaning of 'qurious'? Or can't you spell, either?
Qurious is a username on the boards of someone that argues in circles, refuses to answer questions, and won't show the posts they refer to in their arguments.

This is so exciting - I've never rated a hater before. I feel like Pixie. :diva:

You can call me whatever juvenile name you want. I didn't start this thread, but I damn sure put my two cents in. You are a whiner and you wanted other people to whine right along with you. I have worked with several different vets and they dread people like you. Why are you getting so mad if what I am saying isn't true? Not that I GAF.

Did it occur to you that maybe they were full, dealing with 50 other people JUST LIKE YOU with pets JUST LIKE YOURS?? If they have been so good that you stayed for 22 years, then why not be an adult and resolve it with the doctor, not the snotty receptionist? If she was really nasty, since I am sure you were not an angel on the phone. And for all you other whining fools, instead of trying to get the vets to write you prescriptions to order stuff, and refusing to get vaccines cause they 'are just the vets ripping us off', here is another little piece of advice- If you can't afford to give your pet great care, DON'T GET SO DAMN MANY!
And furthermore, don't wait until the last damn minute to call the vet, then get all pissed off when they won't drop everyone else to 'fit you in'. Somebody said the puppy was coughing up blood. Well, did that go on for days or was is brand new? No vet hospital is perfect, just like there is no perfect pet owner or client. Stop your #####ing and take some responsibility. If it is not an emergency, they don't HAVE to fit you in, and interupt the schedule they have worked out, and make everyone else who had a legit. appointment have to wait.
And you can keep your stupid red karma, I turned the damn thing off!

I called the MORNING the pup first coughed up blood that is NOT something you WAIT on ....

I'm not in the least mad. People that have no clue what they're talking about either annoy or amuse me depending on the day and the topic. I just want you to admit you're wrong, but obviously you are unable to do so. People who cannot admit they're wrong, even when it is obvious to everyone else, have deep psychological issues. Hope you seek help.

You are such a kid. Let's discuss psychological issues. You come on here, whining, wanting people to sympathize with you because you didn't get your way. You certainly didn't give all the information on the phone conversation, you even hinted to the fact that you might not have been a good pet owner, since you hadn't been to the vet in a while. So, then you just can't help but allude to the name of the hospital, making people guess which one. You start the thread, let other people join in, and when somebody calls you on your cowardly behavior, you get all bent out of shape. So now, to take away from what you did in the first place, you are going to insult me. You need the attention, and the positive responses of the others to make you feel justified. You may even feel you made a mistake, mouthing off in the first place, but you can't risk backing up a moment and re evaluating the situation. That warrants some therapy. You should be thanking me, not attacking me. I don't care what any of your opinions are, because who ever thinks it is ok to come on a public forum and start bashing veterinarians is a dope to begin with. Like I said, we can argue all day, but my opinion is that you shouldn't have handled it this way. Tough SH!T if you don't want to hear it.
