That's exactly how I took it too. The :shakingmyhead: thing just came across to me as condesending and somewhat rude, but perhaps I just read that feeling into her post.

:howdy: :yeahthat:

But I always stick up for Pixie cuz she's a biatch like me.

I keep meeting people that don't seem to like being with their kids. Dropping them off at daycare on their day off from work or every day during their week long vacation. I met one mom who was thrilled to have found a day camp for her kids that started at 6:00am and she didn't have to pick them up until 6:00 pm. She looks at me and says she couldn't take them all day long. She doesn't even have a job. I told her I love being with my kids and she looked at me like I was crazy. I just don't get it. My kids are my favorite people on the planet. I just don't get the I need "my" time.

I agree! My wife and I were a two-working-parent family, and when one of us was off work for a day, for whatever reason, we kept our kid home from day care.

And now that he's grown and graduated from college and looking to select a graduate school, we'd love to have him choose a nearby university just so we can visit often.

Does anybody like thei... 02-14-2006 09:42 AM stop trying to make your life come across as so great

Thanks for the green idiot. Apparently reading comp isn't your strong suit as I never claimed my life was so great and repeatedly said that out of everything I've ever done my kids were the best. I'm sorry that your life sucks so bad that me stating the facts about my situation are seen as boastful to you.

Thanks ladies.

It's all about choices and I take offense if I feel that someone is looking down on my parenting because I am afforded different opportunities. If there's one thing I can be proud of in my life it's the job I do with my pigs. I take offense and thus get defensive when I feel that is being belittled or questioned.

I was not trying to belittle you or question your parental skills....I am sure that your kids are great and that you do a great job at raising them....And I am SORRY that you or anyone else on these forums thought in anyway I was "condesending", "looking down my nose at you", or "being rude"....I was not in anyway trying to do this!

Well, I didn't read that into it at all. I took it as a lightheated "try doing that with five instead of two".

But whatever....

Well shiat. :ohwell:

I do however hope that Vrai has taken notes. One and I had a misunderstanding and words and not once did either one of us slump to personal attacks, calling each other whores, making ASSumptions that there's a hormonal reason or a menal defect causing the outrage, etc. That's called being a grown up and lady like.

Quote for posterity.

I'll bring this back to bite you next time you defend this behavior in one of your "friends".
