I am interested to see how the courts handle the situation(s).
He murdered another human being, let me go out on a limb here and judge him...

Pointing a gun at someones head, OR holding a golf club doesn't do anyone harm either, so at what point do you actually DO something.. When they threaten to do it, or after they yell FORE a nanosecond prior to the golf club splitting open your head, or the nanosecond prior to them pulling hte trigger??

SO what, exactly, would you do if your 19 or 20 year old son threatened to kill you? Apparently you are a much better parent then I could ever hope to be, so I'm interested to know what a pro like you would do.

See, here's the rub, I don't have to worry about it. I brought up my children to respect others, and know the difference between right and wrong. None of my kids will ever threaten to kill me, their mom BG or anyone else, but whatever they do wrong they know there are consequences for their actions.. and usually a little more then a stern "I'm going to count to three" or a 3 minute time out that lasts all of 15 seconds..

I have five wonderful children that are my pride and joy. Three have already grown to be positive additions to humanity, and will have a positive impact on our world in the future. The fourth is well on her way to becoming someone great, that any parent could be proud of, and the fifth, well he's five months old, and he's already showing great potential of being a great person.

None of my children have ever been given a traffic violation let alone been arrested. They have never threatened mom or dad or anyone else with physical harm. They are hard workers, they know how to act in public, and strive to make their parents proud..

So tell me, what would you do different in the upbringing of children that I may have missed.

You're their FATHER. Of course you're going to say wonderful things about them. Other people may see things different. What if your daughter has a child of her own one day, gets the baby blues, and drowns her child. Is that somehow reflective of how you raised her?

I'm not saying, Bob, that your kids aren't everything you say they are; I'm sure they are. And I am sure that if one of them were going crazy, you'd do everything you could to help them so they wouldn't harm themselves or anyone else. All I'm saying is that, sometimes they can get away withoutyou noticing.

Nick's case--I don't know. IF he did threaten his mom, I'm not really sure there's anything she could have done. If she kicked him out of the house, this still could have happened, as Gus may have still be speakinig to Nick. Ya just never know, as well as you THINK you raise your children, what they're gonna do. You can hope, is all.

So what makes you so high and mighty? You dont know his past, things he went through, things he experienced.

A kid who doesn't live with you and you don't have daily contact with can "get away from you". My two oldest live in different states and could be robbing a liquor store with an automatic weapon right now, for all I know.

But if they lived in my house and I had daily access to them , I would know if there was a problem. I don't care what anyone says, you KNOW if your kid is doing drugs or has emotional problems because they undergo a behavior change and you'd have to either be ignoring it or just not paying attention to miss it.

It's like women who say they had no idea their husband was having an affair - that's complete bullcrap. They KNEW, they just didn't want to acknowledge it.

Gus is dead. Nick killed him. There is no "side" - those are facts.

You are right those are the facts. Let it go. Where all this he threatened his mother, he was on drugs, he was psycho are those facts or are those people opinions or what they think happened?

OK, we're not going there. It is obvious that Nick DID kill in cold blood. It's really not up for debate. He did it. You don't knock someone with a golf club, then slit their throat to "defend yourself".

I don't consider myself high or mighty, but to me murder is not something good people do:ohwell:

I want to give you credit for the first intelligent thing I've ever seen you post. I certainly don't expect it to happen again, so I'm going to savor this moment, tyvm.
