Well, that was something new.... grass was so thick I had to take two passes at different blade heights just to get thru it. Never had to do that before ever.Thought about it. Neighbor did his and left piles of grass everywhere. Decided I can wait another day or two and try it then, kind of ran out of steam after cleaning the garage all day. I don't get the grass clods tho, I have a mulcher that does an extraordinary job on even wet grass. Just too lazy to do it today.
It does seems that the grass is growing faster than previous years.Well, that was something new.... grass was so thick I had to take two passes at different blade heights just to get thru it. Never had to do that before ever.
You better get on it first thing in the morning. I hit mine last night since it looks like tomorrow is going to be a washout.I definitely have to get on the grass this weekend. It provides safe haven for these blasted Asian Tiger mosquitoes. They can reproduce in a drop of water, the little bastids.
I work Wed-Sat, so come hell or high water, I'll be out there Monday or Tuesday even if I have to wear muck boots. Hopefully we don't get a deluge out of this system tomorrow. You better get on it first thing in the morning. I hit mine last night since it looks like tomorrow is going to be a washout.
If I may ...

Actually? I think I figured it out. It's not that it's been raining so much, which it really hasn't. It's because of the god awful humidity we've been having the entire summer. The grass has been getting rained on, saturated, every night in the form of dew, aka, the condensation of moisture in the air upon those blades of grass. Think about it. During normal summers, we'd at least have dry brown patches of grass at some point by now. Yet, there are none. Anyway. That's my hypothesis/theory.Because it barely stops raining.
The first year I moved into my house, the entire "lawn" was nothing but crispy dry straw. July 4th, '94. I didn't cut it the entire summer.we'd at least have dry brown patches of grass at some point by now.
So I moved his journey a little further south into St. Mary'sWho taught you history?
Yes, Col. John Henry Sothoron killed Union Lt. Eben White who was trying to recruit his slaves. But wasn't there a local hero, a Colonel Sotheren who assassinated a Union officer in Leonardtown?
In Charlotte Hall, at a plantation called The Plains owned by Col. John Henry Sothoron, Union Lt. Eben White went to recruit the colonel’s slaves for induction into the Union Army. The plantation owner shot and killed the officer.
Sothoron fled to Virginia but was indicted by the Grand Jury of St. Mary’s County for manslaughter in the death of Lt. White in 1866. He was later acquitted by a pro-Southern jury.
Thank you, I knew there was a relationship to Charlotte Hall in there as well.Yes, Col. John Henry Sothoron killed Union Lt. Eben White who was trying to recruit his slaves.
