Does it ever stop raining?

Absolutely biblical rains last night in the Lake Anna area. Looks like we brought some home with us, although I’m not real thrilled with the prospect of a TS or its remnants.

As of 1700 this afternoon, they're guessing that the "eye" will track along the Eastern Shore. Keep in mind that it will be a tropical storm when that happens and the strongest part of the storm will be north and east of the "eye". So, SoMD will be on the weak side of the storm. This isn't expected to happen until Tuesday so everything is subject to change. I figure that the projections will be more accurate by Sunday evening.

Quite a switch, usually we're in the middle of drought in August and its so hot and humid, you can fry an egg on a sidewalk. Nice for a change of a pace.

I'll bet it feels rather strange to be cutting grass in SOMD in August; a time by which the grass has usually turned brown.

Tomorrow should be an okay day. It's warm and sunny here, today.

I'm glad the clouds held off today at giving us their wet gift.
Got the back yard "hayed" for the 1st time in weeks.

I'm glad you did. I've still got standing water. That's the price one pays for living in the lowlands of the 7D.

Managed to get mine and neighbors yard done this evening. It was definitely a slog.
