Hello Ark :)

On my dog's environmental test, it said she was allergic to dust mites and that's an all year round thing. Besides that she was allergic to 21 different environmental things. The food switch has helped some, but her paws are severely red again and so is her belly. I think since she's allergic to grass this is what is causing it.

Holy crap! Poor dog!

Am watching his ears and see how again he's starting to dig in them, and I see brown goop in there again :cds: . So I have been putting 1/2 vinegar/water solution in his ears every 4 days or so .......

Why so infrequently? Vinegar/ water is safe to use more often. Once every four days would be plenty of time for the funk to build up inbetween. You could also try 50/50 mix of white vinegar/ hydrogen peroxide.

oh my it certainly is hard to avoid dust mites ! My boy licks his paws, especially after being outside, almost like he's cleaning something off of them hmmm.

So is there a doggy allergy specialist I should consult? Or can my regular vet at White Plains handle this?

I was told in the past that peroxide destroys tissue, so I didn't consider that for inside his ears.

Maybe he's just neurotic about his paws :)

Ask your vet for an environmental allergy test. Mine was around $250 I believe and I went to All Kinds Vet. You can also call around to see who has the cheaper test and make sure you ask how many items it covers. There is also a food allergy test, but I never had that done, so I don't know much about it.

Was that a blood or skin test?
