We had it done at our wedding, and I can honestly say not one person gave me just a dollar, it ended up being more in the 10's and 20's more than anything, we walked out of the reception with about $1,000. Not including the gifts and cards we hadn't opened yet.

The reception had a seperate cover charge.


The girl who caught the bouquet - we charged her for it.

I don't go to many weddings. Like I said before I am not from around here and I have never heard of a dollar dance before. I thought that perhaps there was some sort of competion involved. Like a dance competition.
