Remind me again who signs the bills... ? How convenient you always forget that extremely pertinent fact. 👍

You sign it, you OWN it. If you don't want to own it, then veto it. If veto is overridden, then so be it. But then and only then can POTUS not own it.

Middle school civics.
Makes NO difference who signs, bipartisan is bipartisan, just because POTUS agrees does not lessen that FACT. Now that is civics semenhauler!

Serious question.
At what point does the great "fixer" and "uniter-in-chief" start accepting responsibility for what is going on?
It has been almost a year and a half since the past administration. When exactly does the new administration start accepting responsibility for the horror that is happening?
obama blamed Bush for about 7.5 years. Joe was his VP, so pretty much can expect the same time frame.

"Blame" is what the Democrats DO. Over the last thirty years, I can think of maybe two issues where the Republicans blamed the Democrats, and they were easily spot on - the Republican Congress blaming Clinton for failing to pass an effort to balance the budget in 7 years - which they did anyway - and Trump blaming the Democrats for opposing the wall - which they DID with enormous self-righteousness, claiming it was an enormous expense except it was chump change compared to the outrageous amounts they have spent since.

Since the 90's, it's been "the previous 12 years of Republican administration" - blaming Bush so much it became a joke - one comedian claiming the earthquake in Virginia attributing the cause to a previously unknown "Bush's Fault". And of course, Obama. ONE OF THESE DAYS, voters have to wise up to the fact that we don't send people to Washington so they can tell us whose fault it is - but to fix it. If I hired a mechanic or plumber to fix something and after dozens of payouts all they can tell me is, it's someone else's fault, you couldn't BLINK faster than I'd fire them.

The Democrats have a long overused pattern of promising all sorts of things to their constituents and aggrieved groups, only for them to fail - and blame Republicans. It finally culminated in groups like the Walkaway groups who finally concluded that they HAVE NO INTENTION of passing these measures - they just want the votes. It is MUCH EASIER to point a finger than to actually craft a working solution.

"We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things, and two things only: making you afraid of it, and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections."

You know, I remember the bewildered look Romney gave when he was asked in a debate about the possible constraints or elimination of BIRTH CONTROL. As *I* felt at the time - where the HELL did *that* come from? And later in the election, it became evident that his opposition was going to drum up some imaginary boogeyman so that he could be tarnished with it.

The left has worn out the stigma of "racism" because it has been used so very often, it has no sting at all anymore. When things like MATH and HARD WORK and NIGHT TIME and phrases you've never heard of are called "racist" - you learn to not care.

Ditto "Nazi". Keep calling people Nazi, their dog, Nazi, their religion, Nazi - and people lose interest.

So out of the blue, someone latched onto the single most odious thing (besides pedophilia) they could think of - white supremacy. When it emerged during the 2020 debates I thought - what the heck? Does anyone actually KNOW a white supremacist? When did THEY become a problem?

Just like contraception and birth control. What the F? Where did THAT come from?

Democrats are the Party of the easily manipulated. They bark on command. If you are a confused, disaffected, mentally compromised sociopath, you have a home in the Democrat Party. You can feel part of a group as long as you march in lockstep with them. You can even declare yourself an independent thinker while parroting talking points and flipping out when asked to expand on your views. A simple, "Why do you think that?" will elicit a barrage of screaming and tantrum throwing.

The problem is when you step outside even a tiny bit. Asking any questions - "Wait, why is that racist?" - and baby you are OUT. Mildly disagree with them and they will destroy you.

It works in both directions. Once again, just look at some of the postings on here. When someone with a different viewpoint posts even with data to back up their assertions, they are slammed by the majority, their source is labeled as unreliable, etc. Party line is not a determining factor.

I'm shocked and dismayed to read that.

In all fairness, typically their source IS unreliable. Some blog or hard core Lefty op-ed is not a source. A report filled with anonymous quotes and ambiguous language is not a source, and I will call that out.

How many of their "sources" insisted that:
  • Trump colluded with Russia
  • Nicholas Sandmann was a racist thug
  • Jussie Smollett was attacked by MAGA people
  • Kyle Rittenhouse killed two choir boys in cold blood
  • Someone hung a noose to threaten that whatshisname race car driver
  • etc etc etc
When that's the garbage their sources are vomiting out, yeah, I will slam that source as unreliable and not believe anything they say.

And... the sources from Supreme Court rulings, Federal Court rulings, CDC, FDA, etc. When they do not fit the talking point, they are ruled as "bad sources" too.

Are you ever happy? Always seem to have your grouch on.
Haha. Far from it. Just pointing out the daily hypocrisy.
- My op-ed source is 100% reliable. Yours is garbage because it doesn't fit my talking points.
- "I'm too busy to do any research on a topic BUT... you BETTER do your own when you want to disprove a talking point.
- When all else fails... VANISH.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
