Every since I hit the 8 point buck, I am very cautious driving home at night because of my innate fear of hitting a suicidal deer.

You are correct... deer are not the least bit startled by bullets/missed shots whizzing by their heads nor are they spooked by hearing hunters wrustling through the leaves :yay: :duh:

It's illegal to hunt deer after dark. Hunters aren't the reason they get in the road at night.

I'm assuming you're a natural, it covers to many areas to be learned.

Deer are nocturnal. Deer are in rut when hunting seasons open. That's the reason they are so active, not BC of the hunters. The hunters are sitting in their stands well before dawn waiting for the deer to walk by, not chasing them through the woods shooting at them. The hunters have to wait until sunrise before firing a shot (legally).

:yeahthat: If I am correct they feed mostly in the evening/night time and bed down during the day.

7. Never get in the way of an older car that needs extensive bodywork. Maryland is a no-fault insurance state and the other guy doesn't have anything to lose.
I hate when people take SPAM then change just one thing, like the name of a state, without proof reading for content. :dur:

ohh for shaps sake! It was a tongue-in-cheek comment  and you and Eshapshole pounced on me for  But while we are debatting this -- although unlawful to hunt at night does not mean it is never done... i.e. spotlighting. Yes, you are correct, most deer are not running due to hunters, but I'm sure during the day or night it could be a factor is all I was stating . If Iwas really serious about hunters being the cause I'd be posting statistics, etc... get over yourself and stop chomping at your gums waiting for something to throw a dig at me for  You in particular take practically all of my posts out context in order to mangle it to serve your repulsive desire to throw a jab at me. Grow up and move on :duh:

If you're driving a big 4WD SUV, and a snowflake falls on your windshield. Take a death grip hold on the steering wheel and slow down to 25MPH. You might be a Southern Maryland driver. :boxing:

Yeah, it is really hit and miss with this one. Either they (and this applies to pretty much everybody, not just 4WD SUVs) are driving at either 25 mph or 85 mph during inclement weather. Either way it is frustrating.
