Drones Over NJ

The clowns won't be able to hit them anyway.....we did a test at Bragg back in the late 90s with a team of Rangers trying to shoot down a 12' wingspan UAS at 1k. Over a thousand rounds and 1 made it through a wing but the AV was fine. Not to mention I don't think i flew a night mission over a populated area without a least a few pot shots be taken at us.....and again, 1 time a round got through the wing, but it wasn't even noticed until the preflight the next day.
I have a cousin that was a Load-master in a 130, with doing night drops in Baghdad he would make himself small with always getting a few extra vent holes in the plane while dropping off on the runways.

Yeah a couple of Marines would have gotten injured screwing off, about 3 NJPs, and many crayons would have been eaten...

LMAO I'm not sure who you were with, but when i worked with the 26th MEU on some ops in Kosovo that's about all they did was screw off......We were heading out to the helo for one particular op and 2 were grab assing and one broke his leg on the flight deck before we even got onboard.....

I'm just giving you crap, I like Marines, but there weren't alot around the org I was working with at the time so we didn't get to interact much. My last trip over the pond we worked with some in Ramadi and they were hard charging pipe hitters

That's just your standard personal quadcopter........that's the other thing this does.....creates paranoia and now everything we see is the drones they are talking about.....I haven't broke it out in a few years, but you'd have to pay me to take my Inspire out now.....doesn't matter where i am or what i'm doing, some idiot will try to shoot it down....
I watched the video of that and it’s much larger than your standard quadcopter.

One person not heard from in all of this is Transportation Secretary Mayor Pete. It is his ball park, but everything he is involved with has been useless.

I wonder if the proximity of the FAA Tech Center (Atlantic City) has some connection to the drone activity in NJ?
I’m getting the impression that most folks don’t spend any time looking up at the night sky, of the videos that aren’t AI these look just like airplanes….and there are A LOT of airplanes above us all the time! Then there are the blurry vids where a bunch of white dots are seen, anyone who has tried to take a photo of the moon with their phone understands how tough it is to get a phone camera to get capture light sources at night.

These supposed phenomena have been going on for weeks and NJ is a very populated area, no one with excellent camera gear has seen one of these things?

The fact that Elon hasn’t chimed in either about this makes me think it’s a big nothing burger, his account posts endlessly on X, why ignore this?

For your consideration ...

The major problem is that nobody really has a camera anymore. Sure, phones have cameras, but I'm referring to a real stand alone camera, or video camera, with a good zoom and auto focus, or being able to manually focus quickly by someone that knows how to for distant objects. Then we'd really be able to see what is what.

I say that someone should contact a super experienced golf game cameraman to film these invading drones. Since they can track a tiny golf ball from the hitting of the ball to the landing, zooming in and out, all the while in focus.

Found the video, since these things are filmed by phones, could the lights' appearance be affected like the northern lights last month.
Lights are in the wrong location for an H60 but it does appear to have FAA compliant lighting that can be seen from quite a distance which would make it a sizable object. It would seem if it was a manned aircraft the FAA would be tracking it and it would be squaking IFF.
