Eggs

One of the buzzwords of today and for the past generation has been "sustainability". The idea is that energy is derived from sources that can be re-created, re-grown, reproduced without damange or even, possibly, any change in the surrounding environment.

HOWEVER - what I am seeing is a lack of SELF-SUSTAINABILITY and mostly a trend towards utter reliance on sources we have no control over.

The left wants everything to be electric. But they're really not keen on people living off the grid - they want everyone ON the grid.

Ever watch a cop movie or show, where they need a witness to testify, and they profusely promise "we can protect you"? - and YOU know, because you've watched so many of them - "great, he'll be dead before the next commercial" because one thing they seem to be able to do is make good on their promises.

We're all to depend entirely on electricity, water, everything - entirely on the government, because they are going to take care of you. I do honestly believe that many of them believe they can and it is the best way to make sure everyone is covered. But here's the thing - when hospital ships go unused, infected people get stuffed into nursing homes, buses to carry people away from a hurricane are left to stand in water - when the government SERIOUSLY effs up and it costs people lives ---

How much do they care, then? Because the first thing they do is try to find someone they don't like to blame it on.

What we need? People to find a way to live comfortably in their homes with most of what they need WITHOUT some outside agent to give it to them. You know, kind of like, the Amish, except with more electricity.

Leonardtown Food Lion this evening… $6.19 for one dozen Food Lion brand extra large eggs.
At some stores - Giant, Walmart, BJs - the store brand eggs are expensive and the premium national brand ones sell for sometimes half the price.

One really has to stop and think. Are those that we elect, as well as those that are hired into government so inept, so incompetent, so stupid, as to not realize and recognize what is happening, and stop it? No, they are not. The entirety of government has been bought off, or compromised, to allow what is happening, to continue to be happening. And those that have not, those honorable and patriotic few, are silenced, and marginalized. Even down to the local level. One just look to our supposed health departments for clarification on that matter. Tyrants, or cowards, who will not stand up for the people, from county commissioner boards, and county sheriffs, on up the chain.

We are a Nation in name only now, and have rulers, at every level, that use force, intimidation, coercion, intimidation, and threats, under the guise of "law". Instead of a government Of ,By, and For The People.

We are all now just slaves and fodder to the state. Property taxes being just one easy to identify element that enslaves people, by forcing them into paying tribute to the state just to be able to stay in their shelter/home, regardless of their ability to pay. All under the guise of everyone "paying their fair share" for education and government "services".

It is the ignorance, willful or otherwise, of the people, as well as their intellectual inability, or fear, to stand their ground against these creeping, incremental, trespassings against our rights, freedoms, and liberties, that have lead us where we are today. And even today, now, there are few that stand their ground and call out the abominations being foisted against the people.

The united States is now, and has been for a long time, officially, a failed experiment.

If you think I am incorrect in my assessment. Then what are you going to do reverse the tide?

Isn't it amazing, don't you think, what the topic of "eggs" can bring out in people?
I am a little bit suprised that TPD liked this comment, and please let me explain. I liked this comment too until I came to the paragraph that I have bolded.

Whom exactly will we be standing our ground against? The petty tyrants or the law enforcement officer that shows up to arrest us? As I'm sure TPD can attest, it will not be Dr. Meanie Head Brewster but an armed officer who will emphatically state he is only doing his job and you had better obey.

Law enforcement has become too much like a mercenary force paid to carry out the will of the petty tyrants. What to do about it, I'm not sure, but I do know if I disappeared in the night the reaction would be "WTF is a gary_webb?"

Just sneakin' around....
Got eggs at BJs. Nellie's Free Range, brown, large, $7.99/24. So $4/doz. That's $1 per dozen cheaper than anywhere else's store brand plain white eggs.

Aldi still $4.99.

Allow me to elucidate. I refer to, now, as well those in the past, when proposed laws are discussed, anywhere, that on their face are obviously and grossly unconstitutional. As well as proposed laws, that with, after some critical thinking, are seen and found to be unconstitutional as well. Or any proposed law, rule, statute, that is contrary to the rights, freedoms and liberties of the people. As it stands now, instead of challenging, vigorously and rigorously, these proposed laws, by the people, before such laws as passed, what we have are laws that are passed, then, much later, need to be challenged in the courts by those harmed by such laws, while all the while these laws stand and are used against the people until there is a, court or SCOTUS decision.

To stand one's ground is not just a physical ideal were one might face off with any bully, or authority, while out and about, but a metaphysical ideal as well. Take the BS COVID theater of the past couple of years. Had more people just said to these tyrants, "go pound sand", there would have been no pandemic. If people said "go pound sand" when civil forfeiture confiscation without due process laws were being discussed and passed, then there would not be such tyrannical "legal" thefts of property by those acting on behalf of the state.

One, everyone, must stand their ground well before any such laws are passed by participating and letting these tyrants know from the very beginning, by all means available, that no, we will not stand for such laws to be passed let alone enforced. As for the case with our good doctor tyrant? She answers to the people though our elected representatives. If the people vigorously and rigorously stood against her, and let the County Commissioners know as well the fury of the people and that there must be change, then she would shrink away into oblivion.

What happened to @TPD, and what he had to go through, standing by himself in court to defend his, and others, rights, freedoms and liberties, is testament to what should have never been allowed to happen, and to never ever be allowed to happen again. He, stood his ground. And everyone in St. Mary's County should be thanking this man and spending money in his store, for standing up to these tyrants.

Is there a cost to standing one's ground? Absolutely. Sometimes physically, most often mentally and spiritually. The strong spirit perseveres. But then again, freedom is never free, is it? It must always be fought for and protected. Because once lost, it is extremely hard to get back. Would you rather stand your ground for a bit of time, perhaps spending an hour or two a day, or an hour or two a week, over such matters to ensure that your rights, freedoms, liberties, are protected, or spend decades or the rest of your life trying to get them back?

As it stands right now? These people fear nothing because there are no consequences for their actions. That needs to change. Just look to Calvert County, as an example, where the County administrator stated publicly he was taking "full responsibly" for the huge kerfuffle and damage done, over the water billing and EDU issue. Really? So what are the consequences that he is facing due to his admitted irresponsibility? Will he be quitting by the end of the month? Is he going to be docked a full months pay? Will the Commissioners place an ad for a new administrator and fire and replace him? What, if anything, will he face as a consequence for his actions and inaction? Pretty sure we all know the unfortunate answer to this question since there is no one with honor or integrity that fights for the people sitting on the Board of County Commissioners in Calvert County.

Stand your ground.

Standing back and relying on @TPD to do something single handedly is not an acceptable answer.

P.S. Thank you @TPD for taking a stand. If you have a GoFundMe to help defer your legal costs please let me know and I will gladly contribute what I can.

Yes, I do have eggs. $5.19 dz extra-large at Giant brand.

As I’ve stated on here, I’ve been engrossed with 1st amendment audit videos on YouTube the last couple of months. These guys are going into courthouses, dmv’s and county buildings simply holding a video camera and 9 times out of 10 the police are called and the person with the camera is threatened with arrest. If it had not been for my camera, my situation would have turned out much differently. We have rights and we must stand up for these rights. Just because someone with a badge asks for ID doesn’t mean we have to give it to them. Get educated on your rights and don’t be afraid to exercise them. Be sure to turn your camera on when your rights are challenged! At one time I was pro law enforcement. My faith l in the law enforcement community and government in general is quickly eroding because I have opened my eyes. That doesn’t make me a bad person. I have always challenged and questioned authority and I will continue to do so. Unfortunately very few citizens do the same as I have proven.

Now back to the eggs - my daughter will be placing an order soon for chicks. Unlike the big box stores, we only get female chicks, which are more expensive but 99.9% guarantee of getting eggs from those hens in 5 months.

So tell me what we should do then?

Your ambivalence is astonishing. If you need me to tell you what to do, after all I have written on the subject, then, it is you, that is part of the problem. Do you lack a spine? Is there a yellow line going down your back? Do you have weak knees? A fragile constitution? Get your feelings hurt easily? Know how to take a punch because you've never fought back? Do you allow the government to tell you how to butter your bread? And the final question ...... are you PW'ed?

People are fed up with the ongoing injustice in this Nation. The rules for thee but not for me tyrants. Lack of accountability and the consequences that should follow. Playing favoritism. 'Just' laws not enforced. And if they are enforced, slack sentences or community service are the norm. Unless of course you do not tow the narrative and aren't part of the social justice crowd, then it's life in prison for simply J-Walking. Tyrannical unlawful edicts dispatched from government because they said so enforced under the color of law by jack-booted thugs wearing a costume and badge. Is this the Nation you want to leave to your children, if you have any of course?

What should you do, to effect any change? Hahahahahahahahaha. What a joke.

Here is a clue though, since I'm feeling a wee bit, just a wee bit, mind you, generous. Try reading the Magna Carta and the Declaration of Independence and their history of why and how they came into being for some ideas. Or? Now I'm being really generous. Every week there is a commissioner meeting you can attend. And at the moment, the legislature is in session in Annapolis with every proposed new law ready for the reading online and how to write or contact your representative for or against, and, the times of those meetings or hearings for those proposed laws in which you can attend. Oh, and BTW, you could also learn a lot from @TPD. But I'm going to go on a wild hunch that he will be lacking the same commiseration towards your request as I.

On another note. One cannot just go along on the ride of life without participating. You simply cannot ride the coattails of those that came before you, or those that fight for your rights, freedoms, and liberties, today. Without participation, how could you ever possibly understand the hardships of those that do fight have to deal with? How could you ever know the feeling of victory if you are not in the fight? TPD knows that feeling all to well now, and I salute him. You, and others, simply, do not, and cannot, fathom, what he dealt with and the toll it takes to fight.

While not speaking for him, I pretty much know why he went through what he did; He did so because he felt it as an affront to his freedoms, and by extension, ours as well. He chose to fight and stand his ground, win, or lose. Not only did he win and benefit, but the county did as well in his victory. He, today, is your lesson, and, the answer to your question.

If I come of pissed, irate, or incensed, it is because of the lack of understanding and complacency too many people in this Nation have. As well as stupid questions.

I got Eggland's Best the other day for nearly a $1 cheaper than the store brand. They taste so much better and don't have the paper thin shells.
