I'm very confused here. This man obviously had a very tainted background and under "normal" circumstances, would NEVER have been chosen as a candidate for one of the highest ranking positions in the nation. Did the Dems do any background checks at all? Were they aware and simply chose to ignore it all? If so, WHY!?!? How on earth does this happen? And after it's all been brought to light, there is apparently no desire to relieve him and find someone else that could pass the muster? The Dems have to realize he is a HUGE liability to the election, or are they so blinded by themselves that it just doesn't register?

This whole thing is just absurd.
