Out here in Holly oaks, then came back on for a few seconds. Then heard what sounded like a transformer blowing in the distance and it’s out again

1/3/22: SOMD is experiencing hazardous winter storm conditions. As of 11:18 a.m., we have 31,049 customers without power. SMECO's line crews and Sumter and Penn Line contractor crews are working in the area. The cooperative is also expecting an additional 12 trucks and 30 line workers to arrive from AUI Power to assist with restoring service. Heavy, wet snow is likely to cause outages.

15-20 mph winds, gusts approaching 40 mph. Snow blowing sideways. No worries. DC news channels came down to Waldorf and no further. That is their idea of Southern Maryland.
Need power back. 4G sucks.

We are on the west side of 4 in Lusby and were without power for three hours. People in St Leonard were also out.
Though we heat with wood and have a gas stove, I am still thankful for the generator... as were our tenants in the attached apartment.

That's the nice thing about SMECO - they know how to get the power back on in a reasonable timeframe. When we had that weather event last winter in South Padre Island they were lost for days.

I think they use the direction from DC, I've heard Frederick called western MD before.
