Anyone know the difference between the red triangles and green triangles on the SMECO map, they both say the same thing when you click on them.

News is saying there are still about 8000 customers in St. Mary's Co without power. How is everyone doing? Anybody without?

Golden Beach has been without electric since 9am January 3rd. It's now 8:40 pm and still nothing, it's getting cold and we can't cook or run water not a fun time.
If you can call the non-emergency number (301-475-8016) and inquire if there are any warming centers open near you or if there are any other emergency facilities that you could utilize.

Maybe electric companies should be operated like water companies? You know like when the main water flow is out, or the water bad, bottled water is delivered to the people. Electric companies should deliver generators to every residence until power is returned.

Usually the bottled water is made available for pickup at a central location, not delivered door to door. Giving out generators will increase costs by hundreds of dollars per customer. Generators also require a semblance of intelligence to operate, i.e., don't run them indoors; don't run them in the rain/snow. And generators require fuel to run them. Give away gasoline too?

And when fossil fuel goes away? Battery back-up?

Your latent leftist tendencies are showing.
