Usually the bottled water is made available for pickup at a central location, not delivered door to door. Giving out generators will increase costs by hundreds of dollars per customer. Generators also require a semblance of intelligence to operate, i.e., don't run them indoors; don't run them in the rain/snow. And generators require fuel to run them. Give away gasoline too?If I may ...
Maybe electric companies should be operated like water companies? You know like when the main water flow is out, or the water bad, bottled water is delivered to the people. Electric companies should deliver generators to every residence until power is returned.
