You shitting me? They can wear a mask up on the pole, I won't say anything.Smeco has a lot of linemen/employees out with the rona so could be awhile for some to get lights back on.

It used to be. They stopped associating with their hillbilly brethern in the late 80's/early 90's.I think they use the direction from DC, I've heard Frederick called western MD before.
I believe it's the number of 'customers' out. Low numbers, green. Big numbers, red.Anyone know the difference between the red triangles and green triangles on the SMECO map, they both say the same thing when you click on them.
Out because they tested positive or because they're actually sick, I wonder.Smeco has a lot of linemen/employees out with the rona so could be awhile for some to get lights back on.

I guess I've used mine 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years. The last time I used it, the power went out just on my street and it was found that an underground line had shorted(or something). I figured I may be days without power while they searched for the short but SMECO had it fixed in 8 hours, I was amazed with their equipment. They pulled my power feed unit, hooked up some type of gizmo and determined that the break was 400 feet upline(right in the middle of neighbors driveway). Had a backhoe dig up the line, fixed it and backfilled. Plus they totally replaced my feed unit. We've been blessed so far. It seems like ever since I bought the generator, the power has become more reliable. I can handle the little fades here and there, but absolutely hate it when the power goes out completely.
Sounds like a TDR (time domain reflectometer). I've used both copper and fiber optic (OTDR) versions, pinpoints a kink, break, etc... within a few inches.hooked up some type of gizmo and determined that the break was 400 feet upline
