Etiquette Question

Toxick

Splat
Do you want to make friends or do you want to be the weird hermit guy the kids tell stories about at Halloween?

Some from column A - some from column B.

I want to be a good neighbor. Just asking the etiquette. Like I said - this niceness was unexpected and new to me.

So should Tox tie his note to a rock and throw it through their front window?

Let's not rule anything out just yet.

I expected nothing less, honestly.

Last time I asked advice, I got 4 pages without a single piece of helpful advice. At least this time, some good answers are peppered in there, so I'm ahead this time.
At least I apologized and said I'd never do it again.

We had one particularly large and noisy group stay there last summer. What killed me, though...they had an immense array of food brought in. Apparently didn't want to cook for themselves. Big trays of seafood, meat platters, cheeses..on an on. We let the neighbor's cleaning crew use our large dumpster and the Monday after the crowd left our dumpster was half full of half-eaten high-end food platters.
So, SGI get a bonus in food that Monday?

I might - that's why I was asking what the etiquette was. I feel weird doing that.
I'm not shy, and I like meeting people... but to just cold-knock on someone's door. It feels too forward somehow.

But hey - they initiated the interaction I guess.

I'm just wondering what - if anything - is expected. Should I return the gesture by bringing treats myself?
It's really NOT necessary, nor do they expect it most likely. However, if you wanted to bring them a unique gift of food or drink, for example, that might be nice. Not sure whereabouts you live, but maybe a special wine from a winery nearby, a local honey, cheeses, or something like thatis always nice. :yay:

So with four pages of experience you knew what you would get from us. You know what they say about the definition of crazy...
