I've said it before.... they should run 10-20 laps for the start of the race, another 10-20 laps at the end and eliminate all the stuff in the middle.....

That was an incredible finish.

No it wasn't. You've got injured fans in the stands because of the wreck. They keep this up at these two tracks and they're gonna kill someone.

Take off the plates......:yay:
:faint:

Chris Myers said before they signed off that the medics were tending to spectator injuries from Carl's wreck.

I just hope there were no serious injuries.

And Andy, Carl even said Brad did what he had to and that he doesn't fault him for the wreck.

"Incredible" doesn't mean "good" or "joyous" or anything like that. Incredible means "too extraordinary and improbable to be believed". I am in awe that it finished that way, and no matter how you perceive it, it was still incredible and unexpected.

I am sorry that spectators were hurt, but they have to take some personal responsibility for sitting trackside, knowing full well what can happen at the last lap of these races. They have to understand that there is nothing more than a wire fence between them and a 200mph missile. Many of them come there just to see an incident like this.

No doubt the fans will be talking about this for a long long time. But I remember what Tony said a few years ago. Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards - they've all said it time and time again.

Two cars earlier on went below the yellow line (without being forced there) and advanced their position.

NASCAR "warned them" but did not black flag them. Reinforcing the point that they robbed Regan Smith.

It happened again later in the race with Neck 88 passing the same car below the yellow lines. It was explained that the drivers were warned and it was accepted because the guy couldnt get up to speed and it would have caused an accident from there back if the drivers had of checked up. I bought it.

i feel the same, a shame they got injured but it's printed right on the ticket about liability and it's there for a reason. I have been and never even considered getting injured by debris flying around.

Didn't we have a big wreck today because someone DIDN'T go below the yellow line to advance their position?

The rule is :bs::bs::bs::bs: and a lot more races are going to finish like today's race if NASCAR keeps it as is. They robbed Regan Smith last year, and I bet if Regan could go back in time, he'd dump Stewart the same way Kez did Carl.

Perhaps they were more lenient on Jr & Kez because they weren't racing for the win, whereas last year Reagan Smith was.

They had a little clip on CBS News this morning about the accident. I think there's a little overdramatizing in this story, don'tcha think?

Nope.

They keep this stuff up, especially the yellow line bull####, they're gonna kill someone.

If NASCAR doesn't want them to race there, put up a wall.

Junyer went below the yellow line and wrecked Vickers, advancing his position, in the Daytona 500. NASCAR didn't do anything about that one either.

The yellow-line is :bs: and the enforcement of the rule is inconsistent and too selective. It all depends on who passes who.

I had a sneaky feeling you wrote that story...

Everyone from Terry Blount to Joe Menzer is saying the same thing. Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards and a full page of others have said the same thing for years.

Although I've got to admit, I never thought I'd see the day when the ARCA Series race had less carnage than the Nationwide and Cup races. :faint:

But are they saying this:

If the track and NASCAR have any common sense a team of bulldozers will descend on the place Monday morning.

Because tearing down the banking and reconfiguring the 2.66-mile speedway is the only way to stop the madness that has reached frightening proportions.

What do you propose they do? And I agree with Citizen Fear, it's written on the ticket stubs that the track does not hold responsibility for injuries. You take that chance when you go to things like this. And the seats on the bottom of the track are the cheaper seats.

In reality, you hear of more people being trampled or injured (including death)at concerts than you do at race tracks.

As boring as the races would be, it would eliminate the need for the restrictor plates because they would need to brake in the corners. Problem is -- look at Indianapolis and Fontana.
