Fat Women In Bikinis

It's no secret I am a full figured gal but I would NEVER even think to put this body in a bikini. I wish all big women felt the same. I have seen more fat women in bikins on this vacation than ever before. And it's kind of yukky.

I agree and follow the same practice - no one with a gut should be in a bikini - but others don't feel that way on vacation. They think "heck with it, no one knows me here".

If anyone thinks we're being too critical - I am talking about women that wear 24W flaunting that flesh - not the size 12 with a little bit of mommy tummy. I always see more at OBX than any other beach. I don't know why.

I say more power to them! I was at Atlantic Beach in NC this past weekend and had the best time. We parked on the street and walking up was a girl and her guy. She was no $hit every bit of a size 16/18, not just a full figured girl, she was fat. She was walking tall and proud strutting her stuff. 2 years ago I would have insisted she cover herself, today; who cares? We got down to the beach and there were a ton (no pun intended) of big girls in bikinis. If that's what they want to wear it's not hurting me, if anything it's making me look better. Think of it like that. If you're a big girl that's covering yourself, these girls with no shame are making you all the more classy.

I'm with ya there, more women should feel that comfortable with their bodies and not worry about the few who can't stand to look at it. Not every body can be a pixie but that doesn't mean that they aren't attractive to some. Like they said when i sold cars "there is an azz for every seat"

I suppose you're all right. It is THEIR body. I guess even at 5 feet tall, 450 lbs, if you feel good about how you look you flaunt it. And maybe some do find that attractive, who knows?

I'm 450 lbs and I wear bikini's in Wal Mart. No one ever looks at me funny :shrug: Here is a recent picture.


Seriously though, spend more time at Kings Dominion and Six Flags and you'll get use to it. I dont care how fat ya are, in a bikini, its YOUR perogative. YES, it looks pretty nasty, but its not my business, since I have enough decency NOT to dress like that. Besides, we look MUCH better in our little one piece dress bathing suits anyway

I'm having a bathing suit dilemma. I'm six weeks out from having my baby. I'm going out to get a bathing suit this week to wear to King's Dominion this weekend, any suggestions?? I'm 5'5 and 130, but it's all soft. I'm thinking a takini(sp?) top with boy shorts, what do you guys/gals think?

I'm not a huge fan of the boy shorts. 5'5" isn't that tall and boy shorts tend to shorten the short. Have you considered a tankini with a regular bottom and a wrap? Or one of those skirty bottoms; they make really cute ones now. Lemme see what I can find!
