No. but whats that got to do with it?
Then you have no clue what you are talking about. You have no experience, I have seen first hand how adhd med's help, without "drugging" the kid.

It's got EVERYTHING to do with it. I used to think it was a crackpot excuse too ... until I became educated about it. I suggest you do the same before you come off looking like an even bigger ass, if that's possible.

That's not possible, Thanks

That's obvious. :duh:

Now go do something you're knowledgeable about ... oh wait, it's against the law to drink and drive. :ohwell:

I have not personally had to deal with ADHD so I have no direct knowledge. However, I have plenty of experience with people being quick to assume that there perspective on things must be the reality for everyone else and everyone is just too naive, ignorant or shallow to see things clearly. I have learned that what is tried and true in one household is not necessarily what works best in another.

Tom, if you don't have children, you can only make assumptions as to what it's like to raise them or what would work best. It's not fair for anyone to argue parenting with you, as you are an "unarmed opponent" when it comes to parenting knowledge.

Here Tom, I highlighted the key words for you to make it easier on ya. :yay:

Kwillia -- I couldn't agree more! :yay: Like I said, I used to think ADHD was a crackpot excuse for bad behavior. My cousin was diagnosed with it, and I chalked it up to my aunt always feeding him junk. But when a 7 year old tells you that she feels like her mind is racing and she can't slow it down, and her behavior (I'm not just talking about being bad, not listening, etc) backs it up, you get a whole different view of things. :ohwell:

You are so right about my parenting experience. But I do read and still can have opins about it. Your kids aren't on Rid. I know why.

Just so long as you realize your opinion -- without appropriate experience and education -- is worthless.

Reading some uneducated, uncredentialed crackpot's theory on the internet doesn't constitute "educating yourself". :duh:

Neither is DQ.

I like how Mr. "I can read about it and have an opinion" couldn't even spell the damn drug name. :lmao:

I agree it's normal to form an opinion on a subject based on info from various resources. We all do it. My point is that you and I have not had to directly deal with a child that has what's been diagnosed as ADHD so we are both lacking a very important resource... a child with an issue of this matter.

I'm very open minded really, but do you know what's in that drug? Do you know what and why you putting into your kids body...BTW he or she will never be able to join the military!

I won't speak for MP, but as a MOTHER, you're damn right I know what I'm putting in my kid's body and why. And she'll tell you (literally) that she feels better and is able to focus and concentrate in school MUCH better when she's on her medication.

I feel it's MY responsibility to parent my child and make decisions as to what's best for her with her physician. If/when you decide to have kids (God help 'em if you do) you can decide what's best for them.

In the mean time, consider this: when you have a headache, you take motrin/tylenol/excedrin ... when your stomach is upset, you take pepto bismal or whatever ... when you have high blood pressure, you take medication. Why should someone else who has a medical condition NOT be allowed to take something that is medically proven to help them? Why should THEY have to suffer?

Yes I do, and putting my son on pill(s) was the last thing on my mind and so I did other things to try and help him, which did not help. Yes I also know why I put pill(s) into my son's body, so he can get through school and actually be able to do something with his life, (unlike his POS dad) Don't try to make me feel bad because I know that what I am doing is right. I also research the med's before agreeing.

I believe there is no such thing. Can I have an opinion like that since I have no kids? I also believe that there is no such thing as Autism. My brother is an expert on that BTW. His son was diagnosed as autistic. But he found out through his own research that it is actually "Heavy metal toxcicty". He got through vacines.

Kids shouldn't have to suffer, and I know my son won't.
I have 4 kids and only one is on med's. If I was a bad mom or I wanted to drug my kids wouldn't you (Tom) think I would have ALL of them on med's? And I as a parent know what is normal for a kid and what is not.

No, you cannot. You have no substantiation for your opinion except what other people say. Until you have a child who can tell you his/her symptoms and you research, read, discuss it with physicians, you have NO clue what you're talking about.

FYI -- ADHD is MUCH more than just a kid that won't listen or do what they're told ... but considering you're such an expert, you probably already knew that. :duh:
