All protein. Very few carbs.
Isn't scrapple made with some sort of grain to hold all the organ meat together?
It does have some corn meal to bind it together. The scrapple I have doesn't have as much as some. We call scrapple without any binder 'pudding'.

I just wanted to get the caviar on the list of non-edible foods. Tastes like salty rotten fish.
omg....thick slabs of liverwurst, freshly sliced onion, spicey mustard, mayo, salt and pepper on rye bread.......to die for.
I've partaken of some of the really expensive caviar while on my world travels....never understood the fascination with the stuff.
With loads of salt and pepper on top. MMmmm good.
We ate a lot of cottage cheese growing up; it was one of many things Mom made with the milk had daily from the dairy barn. Butter, yogurt, ice cream, cottage cheese, butter milk,
Gammelost. A step below even lutefisk.

All this talk made me realize I hadn't had any for a while. But I didn't get the cheap, common, everyday liverwurst. I got the upscale Braunschweiger. So there.omg....thick slabs of liverwurst, freshly sliced onion, spicey mustard, mayo, salt and pepper on rye bread.......to die for.
