He was being sarcastic in response to my callousness.

Thanks. Though, from the red I've been getting, people think I'm just an inconsiderate, cold hearted bastard. Unreal.

Anyway, back to my original state of . The girl was 11. For an 11 year old to be raped, by TEN MEN, I would think that the injuries would be quite serious. I understand the technical terms of serious injury vs not, but damn...how could this happen and she not suffer permanent physical damage from it, not to mention additional mental damage? She's a daggum runaway as it is. There's some mental instability there as it is, without the rape, whether she was running from something worth running from or not.

I'll be watching this one though to see how it unfolds. The football coach that made the arrangement for these players to stay at the apartment complex must feel like total chit though.

Just clarifying, I just read the article and the sentence says "The victim was taken to University Medical Center for an examination." It doesn't say anything in the article about "no serious injuries."

Thank you.

But it did earlier. They must have changed it.

Maybe they realized how ridiculous that statement sounded. I would think any gang raped 11 year old would have serious injuries.

11 years old, no family, group home!!! Sounds to me like this CHILD has been through alot more then any child should ever have to go through. Regardless of any stupid decisions she might have made, nothing she did was deserving of what even one man might have done to her. Unreal to pass such judgement and with little compassion.

I find it hard to believe.. MAYBE I still have to much faith in humanity.. But I can't imagine you could get ten men to do something like this without one saying.. "What the Hell aer you doing??" and trying to stop it.

Me too. I mean, there's been studies that have shown what groups of people can be capable of, when as individuals they wouldn't have entertained the idea for even a second. I don't remember what the phenomena is called.

That being said, I too, can't imagine even in a group atmosphere, that someone didn't speak up, even if the little ho was askin for it.

Maybe I don't get your sense of humor, guess by the comment from you about lots of red, I would assume others didn't get it as well. As for my reading materials,,, stupid comeback, but whatever. My point is that somethings just aren't to be joked around about and you didn't seem to have any compassion.
