I agree with those who are taking the "something fishy" view of this story. I find it pretty inconceiveable in this day that 10 guys from a college would rape an 11-yr old. The FBI teaches that exageration is the mark of a bad liar, and I would guess this is what this story is all about. It looks like she went to the house and gave oral to one guy, maybe two, then ran outside to the first people she met and asked for help. Sounds like a good story, but she ups the number to 10 guys to make the story more valid and believeable (in the eyes of an 11-yr old) to investigators. I had a friend who's 13-yr old step-daughter accused him of raping her, then went into court and told, with an extremely honest demeanor, how he had raped her four to five times a day, everyday, for weeks. When the "sexual superman" testimony became laughable she started yacking about the different types of intercourse they had had, but when pressed for details she came up blank on all counts. She could make all sorts of wild claims, but her knowledge was limited to what she had heard from friends or seen on TV, and her claims were immediately recognized as bogus.

I also remember a rape case in SMC where a teem claimed she was raped, and we later found out that she had raped a guy who was drunk off his ass and half asleep, then cried rape because she was worried she might get pregnant, so the idea of a girl going into a party where some guys are drunk off their buts and getting herself "raped" can be very questionable.

The last question is why would anyone put themself in this situation? I would guess that the answer lies with the girl and the group home. She might not have wanted to be in the home and figured if she was raped while in their charge she would be sent somewhere else; or maybe she wants to go back home and is hoping this will get her there. I remember a girl at Chopticon who was always making reports to the SRO that other girls were threatening her. She made up the reports because she had been on homeschool for awhile and the only way she could get back in teh program was if she left school because she felt threatened.

I think anyone who takes this girl's claims at face value is foolish.

Dontcha know that if a woman, no matter how shady her character or lame her story, says she's raped, you convict first and ask questions later? Unless of course the rapist is a Democratic President - then you call the victim all sorts of names and drag her through the mud.

She is 11 years old. She is in a room with ten (maybe drunk) men. Can you honestly say you think she wanted it? Can you imagine how scary that was? I never recieved the memo that you had to be stolen out of your bed to be raped. How come we can not be more horrified at the men? This whole thread is why women are ashamed when they are raped. Why they stand in their shame and wonder what they did to bring it on themselves. Society sucks. Yes, some women have used the word "rape" to punish a man. Millions more have felt the violence of rape change their soul.

If I was I would be draging ten pairs of nuts from my minivan. And freaking yes, I know too many freaking people that were raped. And it pisses me the #### off.
