After you cross the Potomac on 301, just take a (R) on 206 at the Burger King/WaWa and another (R) on 218.
218 becomes Butler Rd and it's a MUCH better bike road than taking Rt.3 (Kings Hwy) into town.
I am familiar with that road. Years ago someone decided that looked like a good shortcut when we were coming back from a camping trip, fully loaded, pulling a trailor with a canoe on top of my camper. :lmao:

 It's a LOT more enjoyable on a bike

 218 has PLENTY of lefts, rights and even a whoopde by Fairview Beach

FYI on 218 you can add at least 10mph to all the MAXIMUM SAFE SPEED signs without scraping anything.
unless there is dirt and sand in some of the corners..

I took that route when coummuting back and forth from Quantico for a week.. I hit the first corner coming home, and it must have rained hard the night before.. all kinds of dirt in the road. Slowed it down, and I'd guess that about 1/3 of the corenrs had dirt and rocks in them.. Got to the end, and talked with the person riding with me, and he didn't even notice.. Couldn't understand why I had slowed down.

Would anyone like to get together for a forum ride on Saturday or Sunday? I'm not a brave girl, but will go over the 301 bridge and we could do Hornes. Or we could keep it on this side and do Captain Billy's? Anyone? Meet at the Kmart parking lot at say 10:00 Sat or Sunday? I won't lead. :lmao:
Can your horsey friends join in?

I'd allow that, but I don't think they can keep up. Plus, if they were somehow to get in front, then there are those horse apples to deal with.

Can I start a thread to invite them? :neener:
