So...if I still have my modem and little digital converter for the tv they wouldn't have to come out?

No, they shouldn't have too.

I bought my modem/router from Best Buy so I don't have to pay a "lease fee" to use Comcast's mode/router. Saves me $5 a month, and no one came out to install it.

All my boxes I got from the local Comcast office. Took them home with the "self install kit", hooked it up, called to activate it, and that was that.

I guess this will depend on if they have to turn on my new service from outside the building. I can hook it all up myself inside, think I'll wait until I'm in the new place before I schedule anything and hopefully can save myself $100.
