Depends on what you are looking for in your helmet..

DO you want a flip face (do you wear glasses) are a full time full face helmet.. Regular full face helmets are quieter, but on 100 degree days it real is nice to be able to flip up the front of the helmet for some air..

Scorpion makes (for the money) some of the best helmets on the market. Full face for <$100 flip front for around 150 - 200

CABERG/ Jarrow makes a flip up with internal sun visor comparitively cheap in comparsion to others, but I found it a noisy helmet.

Nolan makes an AWESOME flip up that is extremely quiet and comfortable Depending on where you buy it $200 - 320, and they also make a great regular full face.

Shoei, ARAI, Schuberth and others make the BEST helmets on the market but you are going to pay upwards of $500 - 1000

Go to the dealer(s) try them on, find which one fits your head. What may be comfortable on my head may be excrutiating for you.

Then determine how much your noggin is worth and how much you want to spend.

There is currently no U.S. distributer for Caberg helmets.
I need a new face shield for mine :ohwell:

Cycle World did an in depth eval on helmets a couple of years ago and found that the Snell standard helmets would transmit lethal amounts of energy to you brain during crashes at speeds under 50 mph (where 90% occur)

What about these guys, Andy? Also, George at Motovations ordered my Caberg way back when with no problems at all. Unless things have changed, he can still make it happen. Can't hurt to give him a call.

Let me know if George can help you out, I tried to get a replacement shield this summer and they couldn't get one. I'll call Classic Cruiser in the morning and see if they have any.
The fog proofing has worn off mine + there's a few nicks and scratches.

Try Mortons.. give them a call they'll ship it to you.

THey carry Caberg now, and I had lost the vent cover on the top of the helmet (I don't know what the max speed is for the helmet, but I think I exceeded it) they replaced and shipped the cover for free.

That my have been three months ago, but the last time I was there they still had Caberg helmets on display.. Ask for Steve, he's the parts manager.

There's a couple of sidecars around here.. one father and son each own one.. but I haven't seen any newer models with sidecars... $$$$$

Dad also has the retro looking Harley with the sidecar.

We just saw him at Asahi last week.. he was in Michigan and paid $5 for a raffle ticket.. and won a new Harley Ultra Classic, what's that about a 20k bike.. lucky bastiges..

I have a silver KBC FFR flip front size large I don't want. Worn it 3 times and don't like it. If someone wants it it's yours.

Was it blue?

The N 102? I think I'm going to get one of those.

I got my N102 (non N-Com) up at Annapollis Motor Sports.. they usually don't have them in stock but they can get them for you next day.. $100 less than the local dealers. If I remeber correctly I paid $220 for mine from AMS, Bob's and Atlantic City both wanted more than $300.
