I've got 2 KBC helmets. One full face and one flip up. Both are very comfortable, and fit me very well. They are some of the less expensive models on the market.

When someone who doesn't ride asks me what KBC stands for, I tell them "Kill Before Capture."

Was it blue?

Nolan makes an AWESOME flip up that is extremely quiet and comfortable Depending on where you buy it $200 - 320,

I got my N102 (non N-Com) up at Annapollis Motor Sports.. they usually don't have them in stock but they can get them for you next day.. $100 less than the local dealers. If I remeber correctly I paid $220 for mine from AMS, Bob's and Atlantic City both wanted more than $300.

nice, I think the N80 is the one with bluetooth, but I don't know if the bluetooth comes with it or it's just bluetooth capable

They have a N102 N-Com, which is basically just a cut out in the left side of the helmet for the electrics. I think it's about another $100 if you buy it with the mike and speakers built in.

I have a couple of Soumy helmets. The newest, a Spec 1R Extreme, is pretty high-dollar but it's really light. On the downside, it's the loudest helmet I've ever owned. Earplugs are a must.

I'm pretty good friends with the Soumy rep that maintains all the Soumy-sponsored AMA roadracers' helmets. He said when trying on a helmet it's good to have it a bit more snug than normal. The last thing you want is to have your helmet twist and turn on your head when in an accident. Also, get a new helmet every five years or so. The lining (styrofoam) deteriorates with time, even though it may not be visible. And don't hang a helmet over the mirror, that distorts the lining too.

so hard to decide what helmet to get, so many good choices out there.
Color wise, I think I would get the light one, so to reflect the heat

Good call, I suffer in the summer heat with my black helmet. Lighter colors have much better visibility, too.

The N 102? I think I'm going to get one of those.

Hang on for a bit. They're coming out with the N103 this year:
Helmets - Nolan
The sun visor is now on the inside :yay:

BTW, A has a N102 :yay: My current helmet is an Icon Mainframe. It's ok, but I really have nothing to compare it with since it's my first helmet. I'm planning to get the N103 when they get here and get some N-Com units so A and I can talk while we ride.

OOOH? I was thinking of getting another N102, but think I'm going to hold out for the N103.. I LOVE my Nolan, but I really miss the internal visor on the Caberg..

I use a gallon ice cream bucket filled with foam peanuts. Plastic handle makes a great chin strap and for about $4 I got to enjoy the Rocky Road before the rocky road. :killingme
