We were a little disappointed. For an abbreviated season, we had a mix of extremely intense episodes with lots of story - and ones like this, with very little surprise, no big dramatic moments and mostly lots of talking. After eight years, we really thought the last episode would be a bang, but it seems like 3 and 5 were most of the storyline and everything else was added to tie up the loose ends.
The only surprise for me was Drogon. Without anyone having the ability to restrain him or otherwise tell him what to do, he was one of the few characters in the show that had the wisdom to just let things go. And he's an animal.
I hear a "prequel" series is in the works. I don't think I will watch. I certainly don't care about a sequel. While the show was entertaining, it wandered. With the exception of the overarching lurking menace of the Night King in the background, he was dispatched in a single episode and most of the story seemed - endless and without a planned "ending".
I will miss Tyrion. He seemed to always say the exact right thing at the right time. Even when facing execution, his first words to Jon Snow when he entered his cell was if he'd brought any wine (for those unfamiliar with his character, it was his way of saying he'd accepted his fate).
