Gas Prices

TPD

the poor dad
Went to BJ's just a little while ago, They had lines waiting to get gas,. but 4 pumps were not busy, but they were on the wrong side for my tank filler. So I went around the back and entered from the back.
The little old lady in the booth came out and told me I couldn't buy gas there because I was facing the wrong way, that I had to wait in line.

I guess waiting in line makes sense to some people when there are 4 pumps not being used. but it didn't make much sense to me.. She told me that they had extra long hose on the pumps so that i could drag the hose over my car and fill it. I am not too happy going to the other side getting the hose and dragging it over my paint to get filled up. Anyway rules is rules. She was just doing what they told her to do,but Damn ,stupid rules piss me off.
It’s not rules - it’s science!

Yeah science to make people wait in line while pumps are there and available.
Science to make you put on a mask that doesn't work.
Science to get the jab that doesn't work.
Science to elect a man who had a diminutive mind to begin with and what he had is gone.

If I run my truck down to the last gallon, it would cost me 160+ to fill it from there at todays prices.

When gas hits $5 or $6 it's gonna be loads of fun.

You see something that is going to turn it around?
Nope. But, the prices have just about doubled in the last 2 years and there isn't a massive uprising over it so.....
Basically, if there is no major complaining now (massive walk outs, picketing, etc.) then I do not see it happening if it goes higher.

No. People will keep paying it because they have to.

Who would they picket? They voted for the people responsible.

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

And who would be listening to their complaining and doing something about it anyway? Years ago truckers got to together with a convey angry over diesel prices and descended upon DC. Didn't do much of anything. And today, it seems they have resigned themselves to not protest at all, with diesel prices at $6 or more, knowing that it would be in vain and falling on purposefully deaf ears.

People still have to work, so they modify their lifestyle to accommodate the higher fuel prices. They have no choice but to do so.

I went to Cherokee last year. I really went to see the Wheel of time in Maggie Valley.
Unfortunately for me the slot machines are so much smarter than me that i cannot figure out how to run them.

I liked them when you pulled the handle and 3 wheels spun, and I could hear the tinkle of money hitting the tray.

Maggie is OK but if you look in the hills they are getting too built up with houses. Highlight of that place is "Dickies BBQ"! :dude:

It's not like we can go to Washington DC and demonstrate.
Pelosi still has people in jail without bail or a timely trial to make it clear to any Conservative that if you go to the mall you are subject to arrest., Maybe even get shot or beat to death by a Capitol Police Officer.
