I remember the Gino's that was in St. Mary's square. That's when Mammoth Mart was in there.

Geez, really showing my age now!

Who here remembers Gino's? (Warning: if you admit that you do, you are also admitting that you are old. Like me.)

Anyway, i just discovered that Gino's is coming back. Well, maybe not here, but somewhere. I just found out moments ago. This is breaking news to me so details are sketchy. You can join their Facebook group - "Everybody Goes To Gino's".

Gino's Burgers and Chicken
Marchetti, Romano, and Fischer plan to open new Gino's restaurants in 2010, with franchise information available in March. Marchetti and Fischer will be serving as consultants. The new restruant plans to serve burgers, chicken sandwichs, hand-cut french fries and hand-spun milkshakes. Initially, the chain plans to open locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In charge is Tom Romano, who worked for 20 years with the company, and was C.O.O. in 1982 when the chain was sold. "It's apparent there's a need for better burgers out there," said Romano, citing the success of such chains as Five Guys. Gino's plans to make its burgers to order from fresh beef.

I AM an enigma
How about Ben Franklin or Western Auto, remember those stores?

Oh yeah. And I remember when Safeway was across from where Mr. Donut used to be.

Don't get me goin' down the "old county" lane!

It was too funny. My friends and I would walk "up town", from one end of the park to the other. We would go to one of the 2 movie theaters on coral drive to see a show, then pop into the Rex-all for a soda.

Dang.... I did it again.

OH, remember "The Hub"?? Or the "Underground"?

I was late on my post.... forgot about the Underground. How about Frankensteins, used to be next to the Underground where Bambino's was

Anybody remember The Happy Hamburger, used to be right on 235 not far from where Nicolettis is located late 70's to mid 80's. Used to eat there all the time.

I remember that! The sign was sky high with a big yellow smiley face! I LOVED when we would get off of swim practice (at the Elks lodge) and my Mom would stop there and get us burgers! (And wasn't the building an A frame?)

Or we would go to Hardees on Great Mills Road and get Huskee Jr's!
