True repentance is where you make a absolute firm commitment to turn from doing the things you know are sin. Do Christians mess up? All the time. It is what they do when they mess up. They admit that they messed up to God and ask for forgiveness and try again not to sin. The cycle will repeat but probably with new sins or sins you were not even aware you were doing because other sins were masking them. Jesus gave the criteria for loving God.

John 14:15-21

15"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

16"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;

17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

Interesting. What about the ten commandments? If God loves everyone than why are so many here are so unhappy. Why so much hate and disdain in this world where the innocent fall to so much horrors.

Free will is one thing but if he is our father I know as parent I would do everything I could to prevent harm to come to my child.

Is there a heaven? Other than the bible what other proof is there of that?
