Gonna try to catch a stray

I MUST have one of those kittens. Seriously. I think I am in love.
I have witnesses! If you really do want one, PM me your info.
I will be seeing about getting them vetted. You will have to promise to get it fixed too.
Whole reason I am doing this to to #1 save their life and #2 prevent more strays in the future.

Hard to tell..they do look a tad older. Funky eyes...see if you can get some terramycin for their eyes and keep them FAR away from your own cats. They probably have fleas. You can get Capstar which is a one-time pill that will kill all fleas on the cat w/i 24 hours. Then you can does them with something like Advantage. I'm not sure what you're able to do for them...cost is always an issue...I'm well aware of that. Probably have worms too.

If you need help, let me know. I may be able to get you some help with meds, etc. Can't promise but if you are will to foster them, rescue groups may be will to help with care.

Thanks for helping these guys. :yay:
Kittens can be fostered. Adults are probably not a foster option due to our adult cats. Have to catch them first either way.

We have a line on 1 possible placement for a kitten (not a forumite) and then LT may want one.

Called SPOT. They are covering the fixing of the kittens and 2 adults (if I catch them) at the Well Pet Clinic.

1 cat has mucus marks under the eyes. Other 2 are clear. All are trapped in our bathroom with the door closed until after getting vetted.

Now to find out about tests and shots...

After preparing the bathroom for cat habitation, I released the kittens from the carrier. There are 2 males and one female. All white except that one of the males has a black spot that looks like someone took a soot covered finger and wiped it down the middle of the top of his head.....He got a bath because 1. he was the dirtiest of the 3 and 2, I wanted to make sure the spot wasn't actually soot. I'll eventually wash them all, but I figure let them calm down for a while.

One of them is particularly athletic. While removing them from the carrier, it tipped over with one kitten still inside. The others were scared by the commotion and one of them leaped into the tub, then onto my back, where I was bent over trying to right the carrier, then she climbed the towels to the top of the rack, which is about 5-1/2 feet off of the floor. She leaped in and out of our deeper than average tub a couple of times in her attempt to flee.

My daughter says that was the girl kitten. I'm inclined to believe her because when she found out that one was a girl, she asked to keep her, so girly was probably watching her closer than the other one.

I don't doubt that that was a female. That's the one that bit me. She was jumping all over in the trap and carrier last night until I got the 2nd in there. We all know women are crazy. Or is it people? Either way, beer is good.

 The two from last night were both male. The female didn't get caught until this morning.

That's right, you checked the morning addition. She was more active than either of the 2 from last night while in the trap. She had it rocking.

Is there supposed to be a picture?

weird. The picture wasn't there when I read the post the first time.
Maybe because you were already in the thread when I posted, it needed to refresh or finish uploading or something.

one day the dark will end
There is a beautiful white stray longhair that we see all the time. This morning I saw it in the driveway along with it's itty bitty fuzzball of a white kitten. I am going to see about borrowing a livekeeper trap from my F.I.L. to catch her. If I manage to catch her, I would be looking to get her fixed and then either place her (1st choice) or release her (depending on how wild she is). My keeping her is probably not an option due to 2 adult cats already that probably won't accept her.

I also plan to catch the kitten and try to tame it and then have 3 cats.

My questions:
How long can they stay in the live keeper, if I get them shade and food/water (as in if I catch them in the middle of the night can they stay till the next day)?
Who does low cost fixing of female cats?
Anybody have a large cat size pet carrier I can use to take her to the vet?

OK. I did not catch any last night. Turns out the can of wet cat food I used as bait got wedged under the trap release. Cat was able to clean the can without tripping the trap.

Moved the can out of the way today. Rebaited with some Popeye's chicken skin. Caught the black long hair kitten/cat. It's not yet full grown, but not as small as a 12 week old kitten. I'd say 1/3-1/2 grown. VERY active running back and forth in the trap. Nice heavy work glove on hand.

Unfortunately, in my attempt to move it to a carrier, it got away. Will try again when/if I catch it. As of now, my plan is to borrow a much larger carrier from my in-laws, put the carrier on end, open the door, insert the trap into the carrier, open the bottom end of the trap and dump the cat in the carrier, remove trap and slam carrier door shut in the face of the cat as it tries to jump out.

Any better ideas? Anybody have some tranq darts I can use?

Looked about 6 months old to me.
