Gonna try to catch a stray

Maybe now that he will no longer be called a she, he will stop hissing when I go to pick him up. He has at least stopped trying to smack me (no claws) when I go to pick him up.
There has got to be something in our water.

Each kitten had a definate change to their temperment (for the better) once Dymphna gave them a bath. The "girl" kitten, which we now know to be a boy and now named "Spots" since he has 2 faint gray spots, is now a very nice kitty. He no longer tries to convince me not to pick him up. Doesn't purr for me yet, but at least ne no longer hisses or smacks at me.

Both of the other 2 (Smudge and TBNL "To Be Named Later") purr and come to me in the bathroom looking for attention.

sounds like they're on their way to happy homes when the time is right! I'm glad they tamed up so well.

Well, the one that jumped into the shower was like "WTF? where's all this water coming from??"

hmmmm, I do believe that's called "learning the hard way." From past experience, those are the lessons that we remember the best. :)

My cat is obsessed with the shower. She has gotten in several times with me...or she sits on the edge...or sits on the toilet and stares in...If you head towards the bathroom she is there in a split second...if you get in the shower she loves it. weirdo cat. glad its not just her :)

Kittens go in on Thursday to get vet'd and snipped. At least 1 will probably not even come back home that night. May go directly to its "forever" home. Hope to place the other that night.

A second one has started coming out of his shell. It is normal to get "attacked" by a kitten seaking attention whenever we go in the bathroom. He has started to meow and purr loudly when we are in there. Anyway, this morning, I had a 2nd kitten competing with the 1st for attention. :yahoo:
2 down, 1 to go.

A moment of silence please...

The kittens are at the Humane Society of Charles Co. for fel. luk test, rabies and distemper shots and parts snipped.

All 3 have been placed.

The Leukemia test was negative :yahoo: The kittens are all in their new homes. They are 12 weeks now, so they were 10 weeks when we got them....so Huntr and I were both wrong guessing age, he was too low, I was too high.

Alas, Smudge and his siblings are officially orphans. :frown: Mama Cat has checked in from time to time over the months but has never gotten too close.

Huntr just went out and called to tell me that she was in the road....must have just happened because he'd only been home for about an hour.

With all the snow she probably had to go on the cleared areas (street) You did what you could do. :huggy:

That is a hard sight to see. May Mamakitty R.I.P knowing her young ones are being loved and taken cared of.

She was crossing Rt. 6 when she got hit. This was her normal territory. I didn't bury her, but I did at least remove her from the roadway.

2 of the 3 kittens are happy and healthy. Haven't gotten an update on the 3rd lately, but figure he's h&h too.
