Somewhat off of what has been discussed, but I handed out quarters to the trick-or-treaters one year and to be totally honest, they were thrilled. The little ones just turned smiles on which made me feel great. The parents knew they weren't getting anything bad also. This was whan the razor blades, etc, started showing up and I just thought it worth while at the time. It did cost me a little money, but believe me it was well worth every cent of it.
