For your consideration ...
That's what I hear people say .... they feel better and that sugar feeds so many bad things in our bodies. Just the artery issues alone are enough to make one think twice about continuing to eat sugar. I'm assuming there is nothing to substitute for sugar that isn't just as damaging?
There is product called
SweetLeaf which is made from the stevia leaf, all natural and not damaging in the least.
Thanks. I do have a Vit D deficiency so I take a synthetic version 1 X per week and knowing how vital Vit D is to fighting off viruses makes me better about remembering to take it. My Thyroid hasn't been working well (under achiever) for many years so am also on a RX for that. I have done a lot of research over the years about herbal remedies so have been adding dark berries and dark leafy greens to my diet along with taking supplements with my multivitamin. The NO SUGAR part might be what KILLS ME though LOL as I am not sure what would happen if I stopped all sugar intake? My body might SEIZE UP instead of feeling revived LOL as with most Americans, I have become so habituated to sugar being in everything. As far as fasting, I get a severe headache and my body starts shaking if I don't eat for more than 12 hours so that's not a good option for me. I am a weirdo that doesn't drink Coffee and I drink hot tea with cream & sugar.
Synthetic vitamins, and more or less all multi-vitamins are synthetic, do not uptake in the body because they foreign, not natural, to the body. Similar to taking synthetic B vitamins, the body cannot uptake them and you then just pee them out. And you can tell this because your urine will be bright yellow. You need to take a natural form of Vitamin D3 as Cholecalciferol. Such as this
brand, or any other high quality natural brand. Also, Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, (as well as Vitamins A, E, and K), which means in order for your body to absorb and uptake it, it must be taken with a meal that has fat in it, such as from butter, fat from meats, or EEVO. You should also take vitamin K2 in a proper ratio since it is K2 that tells the body where to put the calcium where is belongs, in your bones and teeth, not being deposited in muscle tissue and elsewhere, as well as too much in the blood. So, the short of it .... Vitamin D3 is not only an immune system booster, it is a carrier for calcium, and K2 tells the body where to put it. You might hear of fear porn related to hypercalcemia, too much calcium in the blood, when taking supplemental vitamin D3. But what they don't say, is that when taking appropriate amounts of K2 with D3, this is negated.
To help support your thyroid, you can take iodine and selenium. The thyroid requires iodine, you could be iodine deficient. This is a good
source for a solution of potassium iodide and iodine. You only need 1 or 2 drops per day, in your tea or whatever, so the bottle lasts a long time.
As far as fasting and your headache and shaking. You should ensure your electrolytes, (sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium), are at sufficient levels by taking a product such as
Natural Vitality CALM, a supplement powder added to water then drank, when doing a fast. Especially good for women since many are deficient in magnesium and is necessary mineral. When your body becomes low in electrolytes, it doesn't feel good at all and that is what you are most likely experiencing when you tried to fast. So try that. Btw, use sea salt or Himalayan pink salt, instead of table salt. Much better for you.
When you stop eating sugar, and refined carbohydrates, (along with possessed foods), your body will start to convert fats from your diet, and your body fat, into ketones for fuel, the body's preferred energy source. Which gives you good long energy levels.
