If you are having trouble removing the eggs..just kill all the adults and treat her every other day killing adults and you will get the hatchlings and they wont grow to lay more eggs..just stay on top of killing the live bugs ...find the life cycle and that will tell you how long you have to keep treating the live ones..good luck...

It says on the instructions to wait 7 - 10days before you treat her again but your advice makes sense. Thanks for not knocking me down and trying to help me. Thats what I came her for :)

Instructions smuckins...I would do it every few days..but thats just me..My daughter had them in pre K years ago...she never got them back but I freaked out and did her almost daily for awhile and did myself too even though I never saw one on me...you stop early...an egg hatches..matures and lays more eggs..then your back to square one.

Nope, but why should I answer your questions and you not answer mine. Being a ##### will get you nowhere.

I came here for advice on how to get rid of head lice. You have just past negative remarks and no advice. But thats ok.....you probably have nothing better to do and your comments can be simply ignored :)

Asking where you took her is not insulting, nor is it negative. I ask so I do not go to that hairdresser and take a chance of being exposed to lice. What part of that do you not get?

Upon further thinking, you probably aren't saying because you don't want anyone to call the hairdresser and turn your fibbing ass in.

Peace
My daughter got it last year. The trick is to treat it and wait 7 days then treat it again. DO NOT wash her hair in between.I know, this is hard. My daughter had to wear a ponytail all week but it got rid of them and they never came back.

I would recommend that you cut your daughters hair short. A bob. that way you can get throught the curls. After the treatment when she is lice free grow her hair. I hard trying to get rid of lice in curly hair. Very easy to miss.

Can someone please help me out? I discovered that my daughter had head lice 10 days ago.........its been a nightmare since. Im sure if I was talking about an average 11yr old childs hair I could get through this BUT .......Noooooo ..my daughter has thick long curly hair and im finding it VERY hard to get rid of them eggs. Its a 3hr job with the nit comb and the gel. How can I get to every hair follicle and remove the eggs......its impossible!! Yesterday I took her to the hairdressers and had 3inches taken off her hair and had it thinned out. I know ,I know that was wrong of me BUT I had no choice. Lets hope she cleans her combs after each client :( I treated her hair again Saturday and thought I had got rid of the eggs but this morning there is more in her hair . Ive washed her bedding during the process many times on boil wash......sprayed furniture (banned her to one chair :( ) Washed her clothes....... what more can I do....... Thankfully no one else in the house has got it. Any advice would be appreciated.
This is why i hate people.

This thread makes my head itch. :yikes:

:yeahthat:

I have never seen anyone so inconsiderate in my life. To willingly take your lice ridden child into an establishment that sees hundreds of people a week to get her hair cut without telling the situation is just UFB!!!

Thank you for putting your location on your profile. At least that way I am hopeful that you have kept your lice at a St. Mary's county hairdresser and my lusbian self does not have to worry about your ignorance and flagrant disregard for the health of other's and their children.

On another note, if the hairdresser was paying attention she should have noticed them herself. They are taught in school what to look for.
