I believe this:
Revelation 21:1-9

1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.

2And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,

4and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

5And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new " And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."

6Then He said to me, "It is done I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

7"He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.

8"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

My hell would be the same thing. That was the first thing I thought when I read this thread.

Not sure what my heaven would be. Probably a healthy, stress free life with no more arguments with my husband or daughter.

So many people saying in one way or another, they want what God promises in His kingdom, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain" and not willing to do the simple act it takes to get there, believe in Him.

But I don't believe in him and like wise do not believe in a heaven or hell.

Ok I am not trying to turn this into a religious discussion because it is not what it was meant to be but I have to say this. You can not make it into Heaven by your actions and works alone. There is only one way to make it into Heaven. If you are not sure of a Heaven and Hell and you think there is only one way to find out, you will find that out you are correct. If you wait until that point though it will then be too late to make the decision to be able to make it into Heaven.

Nice try, but thanks for pointing out the love Christians have for the BILLIONS of people on earth that don't believe in what they do.

Heaven: Coming back and doing it better than the last time. Ending it on a brighter note and moving forward toward something higher.:peace:

Hell: Coming back and only having the the members of SOMD.com, and my ex's to talk to, nothing pretty to look at and nothing new to do. :jameo:

I don't want to speculate Heaven. I don't wanna guess, don't want to even venture to say. That is telling people my beliefs and trying to convince others of my take on things, which in turn causes arguments, which has the domino effect.

Who's to say this isn't the afterlife and this is our heaven?

If this is our heaven, and this is as good as it gets, and you aren't ECSTATICALLY happy, then you should do something to change things.

This may be your one and only shot for happiness, and nobody can make you happy but you.

You have one life, make it count.

If you only have one life and this is it then does that not stand to say this isn't the afterlife?

Depends on what one considers a 'life' and what one considers an 'afterlife'.

Some believe we've already spent our time in heaven and our reward for being good there is giving mortality here on earth.. So this is our one life, and our one afterlife.

IF there is a heaven, I'm sure it will be much like the life we made for ourselves here.

It will be what you make of it. If you're miserable now, you'll be miserable there too.

Just imagine, the life you have now for all eternity. Personally, I'm OK with that.
