Okay vet just said it's probably the combination of the wet dog food and LIVER. NOT too feed any of that anymore. Give her a teasp. of Pepto again this evening and make her boiled chix & rice to eat for the next few days. And to keep an eye on her of course.

My god, what Vet actually talked to you on the phone and didn't want you to come in and get that office visit charge? Mine won't even talk to me on the phone. First thing they say is "Bring her in and we'll fit you in. Of course there's an emergency visit charge also."

Great, hope the pup feels better soon. What a great Vet, mine will talk to you on the phone as well. For what we pay them, and cuss about the cost, sometimes you find that special one who isn't all about the money.

Good Luck.

No he's a really good person and Vet and doesn't price gouge either! I've used him for many years for all of my animals.

I had a beagle years ago that got some kind of virus and had to be fed boiled chicken or boiled ground beef and rice for about a week. After that, he did not want his regular hard food at all...finally I bought low-sodium chicken or beef broth and put about 1/3 cup over the hard food. He finally got hungry enough that he went for it. I am wondering if your little guy isn't just a picky eater - and along with being a 'nervous' breed - ???

Yes actually I love liver & onions and I made some collard greens to go along with & sweet potatoes! I know what you're thinking!

I'm on hold with my Vet now!

Something else to keep in mind, onions are a nono for dogs too.

Good luck, I just dropped $777.50 on a cat that couldn't pee. THEN I went and bought $40 worth of "good" food that he doesn't like.

My cats love it. I figure it's better to spend a little more for food and less at the vet.
Well I my feline pals have a combined 9 years of great health so far so I can't complain too much about this illness.

Be sure to mention to the vet that she ate liver. Liver is rich and small dogs, and some small girls, are very susceptible to pancreatis.
:fixed:

It will break her heart when I tell her she shouldn't eat Liver..

My Tri-county Rat Terrier became sick last night. I've had her since last Friday and she has refused to eat any hard food whatsoever! I went and bought a few cans of wet food and last night her tummy was screaming and rumbling and then IT happened all over the floor...yuk! Poor thing! NOW she won't eat at all. I gave her a little bit of Pepto but I think I need to find a different food....she's really picky and I don't want to keep trying different foods (prefer to stay away from the canned) because that'll keep her tummy upset and stool really runny! Suggestions??????
Worms? Call the vet!
