Buy new battery.

I have a 1991 ford ranger.# I am having problems with it not starting up.# i have to jump it everytime.# it now has a new battery and a new altinator.# I still have to jump it to get it started.# I am a single woman trying to do this on my own.# My sons are helping but we haven't found what the problem is yet.# One of my sons says its the terminals because they are in bad shape.# One says it might be the starter?# Can anyone give me some ideas on what to try next?#

Thanks for any help in advance.

did you try the fusable link?

ok i want to check the fusable link. i have the cover off the fuse box. the cover of the fuse box says to disconnect battery before changing fuses. where does it mean to disconnect the battery from? from the fuse box or from the cables? i know this might sound dumb to some of you but i have never done this before and i do not want any surprises. lol

The solinoid is what connects the starter motor to the engine when you turn the key to start.
If your engine is starting with the new battery/terminals, your solinoid is fine

You are shooting darts in the dark... take to autozone for a charging and starting analysis or bring to my house in the dorf...
