You forgot Jazz, Blues, Classical, and Bluegrass, to name a few. So, no vote from me.
Watch it RR.. I pointed out at least 15 genres of music she had left out and the little whipper-snapper bit me on the ankle. :ohwell:

Heavy Metal.....

But I only voted because it was the only one on the list I liked at all...

You forgot country, bluegrass, newgrass, folk, newage, classical, opera, southern rock, oldies, zydeco, ska, gospel, jazz, bigband/swing, reggae, show tunes, ethnic and world musics. All of which I have a fondness for.

There's also emo, indi, salsa, christian, house, funk, and kiddie music.
Broaden your horizons.
:yay:

One of the world's best alternative music clubs used to be CBGB and OMFUG, located a hair North of the Williamsburg bridge in the Bowery in NYC. All the NY punk rockers (Ramones, New York Dolls, Richard Hell and the Voidoids) used to play there, as well as the out-of-towners (Meatmen, Fear, X, Iggy) and all the kids still want the T-shirt. What does it stand for? Country, BlueGrass, Blues and Other Music From Urban Groups.

Great Jumping Christ! They are still around!

Hey Canadian chick... Click on the above and get a PhD in cool.

(Even though they did let some dork named Bruce Springsteen play one night for door money. Check out the nasty photo!)

Check out Elvis in '78:

Too cool for school!

And I don't think the SoMD populace would appreciate me posting the link to the antics of Stiv Bators and Cheetah Chrome.

So get your 14 year old butt on the Ontario Northland southbound, change trains at Cochrane, take the CN west to Hearst, Algoma Central south to Sault Saint Marie, walk across the Saint Maries River to the US of A and grab a Greyhound to Grand Central. It's a 5 minute walk to 315 Bowery!

I refuse to vote in your idiotic poll because your MTV rotted brain forgot to many major genres of music.

Idiot.
